The only way to get a doctor's appointment in the UK (at least where I live) is to call up the moment the surgery opens on the day you need the appointment and hope by some miracle you get through before the rest of the ill people and get an appointment. And I'm honestly debating staying up all night to call the doctors at 830 because I'm so exhausted like I was yesterday that I know I'm not gonna wake up in time.

The NHS is fucked. I'm thinking of pulling an all nighter for the slim chance I'll get a doctor's appointment, when I'm sick.

I pay $140 every month for my insurance. I got an ear infection and my options were going to the ER which would be covered by my insurance but I'd still have to pay $200 for the visit, going to an out of network urgent care for $150, or going to an in network urgent care but I'd have to miss work which I really can't do. This is a very poor and accurate picture of the medical system for a lot of people. I'm glad progress is being made for the medical system but it's still very broken.
