What's this? Another AU? Don't mind if we do. We thought this one up a while ago but I just now got around to finishing all these doodles about it... Basically, the premise is that Elisabeth (a very normal human) stumbles upon a wee fairy man (Colfax) in the middle of the woods. Colfax is the record keeper for the woods- always has been, always will be. He takes notes on all the comings and goings of different creatures in the forest; of course, sometimes those creatures are too big to take good notes on, so he has a spell that can shrink big creatures down to a smaller size for a while in order to study them better. You can see where this is going. Elisabeth winds up fairy-sized, with very little explanation from Colfax (he's busy taking his notes), and finds this much more of a problem than he does. It becomes his problem soon enough, however, because the spell only wears off when a creature forgets about him- and humans, Colfax only now knows, have extremely good object permanence. Whoops. Thus, Colfax winds up with an Elisabeth in his house claiming his only bed, and Elisabeth winds up with a strange fairy man to follow around and bug about getting her back to normal. In the meantime, lots of fun forest adventures ensue, because Colfax still has notes to take. It's... pretty much all he does. XD
