Of course, they will play a game with you, but if you have an ulterior motive to why you are playing, or doing anything with them, they will want to rip you apart.. or something bad. They won’t be happy. Ulterior motives, even if ‘good’ ones in your eyes, are still ulterior motives and deceitful. That is rude and lying to them.
A better method would just be open with them. They are also not a pet in a zoo for you to watch and observe because you want to find out more about them. They say to watch where your intent truly is. They are not something for you to observe.

I just read The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. It’s much like the way you described the Cassandra Claire book. I know it’s not accurate at all, but I enjoyed it. Is that bad? Would you say that Brian Froud’s depiction of the fae is at all accurate? I apologize for all the questions, but I appreciate that you’re here.

They say anything that’s true is not ‘bad,’ although bad is a very opinionated word that bears zero truth. If you honestly like it, you’re being true. True is being in align with Nature.
They also say a lot of the art inspirations of Brian Frouds has a lot more reality to it than a lot of depictions of the Fae. They do feel the actual written parts, though, of his work, tend to rely still heavily on the ideas of humans stories; Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, and Faery Courts -- but it’s a lot closer, yes. They especially like the art of his that is not in the forefront of the pictures. It’s what it shows in the background that is the most True and real - The things you see but don’t see.

The say, most likely because age is not something they tend to recognize, nor do they count the years like humans do. Time for them does not exist the same way in a linear form. The question was probably confusing and so she didn’t want to answer you, or knew how to.

im a natural lucid dreamer (apparently thats rare???) so if its ok i'd like to give some advice to the user who had the dream if they choose to lucid dream: i know it sounds very pretty and fun, and it is! but its also INCREDIBLY dangerous. when i was a child i couldnt control it, now i have a few memories that arent mine. i dont know if they were "stolen" or shared, and its not fun saying "hey remember we went to x place" only for everyone to say "dude we havent even been to that country"
The Fae are adding on, that it gets even more complicated with Fae mixed in, because they are natural manipulators of realities. It’s better to use a grounds with which you at least have some semblance of conscious ‘control’. Surprises can happen, even in lucid mediation. Make sure that you’re aware of that. You can still get deceived or tricked.
