Pleonasms rain like empty taunts Toward days best deserved by: Dogs, lost loves, and dreams. However, deadened were these Words upon little boys grown old, So very stained by sin and what The world truly offers in annual candles.
This tautology, my only and lonely Mantra, parades the years, Moments I can only recognize, Not to be confused with a Welcomed reminiscence, I know too well, the truth in Growing old, in growing cold -
Age takes no prisoners, for The years have no mercy.
