It will remain closed for another week or so due to upcoming events that will have me traveling and unable to ship like normal. But after that, it will be up and running. I’ll make an announcement when that happens.

3) Sandy Cohen - The O.C. He just up and decides to adopt a troubled kid and forces his son to become his BFF. He stands by his wife through everything she’s going through (alcoholism, soap opera drama etc). He also always brings home bagels.

2) Lorelai Gilmore - Gilmore GirlsShe may make some stubborn mistakes here and there but you have to admire a gal for giving up a life of privilege to raise her beloved daughter alone. She knows when to play her mom card instead of her best friend card.

1) Kinomoto Fujitaka - CardCaptor SakuraLike anyone else could be number one? He’s only ever understanding and kind to Sakura and Touya and is kind of the perfect man to boot? He’s a clever archeology professor, an expert home cook, and handy with a sewing machine. He’s the perfect dad.

3) Star Trek: The Next GenerationTNG is a rare example of a Utopian future for humanity. They have ridiculous, gender fluid fashion and a galactic wide United Nations.

2) CardCaptor Sakura - What am I going to do? NOT want to live in a universe controlled by a sweet little pink magical girl and her cards that make flowers?

1) Final Fantasy X - This is quite obviously post-Sin, but their world is amazing. Everything is colorful, with beautiful religious iconography and Hawaiian beaches. The fashion and design of everything in Final Fantasy X’s pan-Asian and pacific islander world is gorgeous. I would live there.

3) Siddhartha - Herman Hesse - “Wisdom cannot be imparted. Wisdom that a wise man attempts to impart always sounds like foolishness to someone else…”

2) Great Expectations - Charles Dickens “Heaven knows we need never be ashamed of our tears, for they are rain upon the blinding dust of earth, overlying our hard hearts.”

1) Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland - Lewis Caroll - “She generally gave herself very good advice (though she very seldom followed it)…”

33: Top 3 awesome moments in fiction

3) Lord of the Rings - Eowyn’s slaying of the Witch King. I used to hate on Eowyn as a surly teen but I was dumb then and this scene rules. 

2) Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon (original comic) - Sailor Venus killing Queen Beryl is beyond awesome. I’m still so sad this has never been animated or used in any adaption of the original story. I’m obsessed with this scene. It’s Venus proving she’s the most powerful solider in Serenity’s army. If that weren’t enough, she follows up running Beryl through with sealing away evil and scares the other girls into realizing oh, she really is the leader, with powers beyond us! The original sailor solider, at her most terrifying.

I'm really glad that it crosses over though, seeing it through your eyes has been really interesting and thought provoking!
