Hai 👋 I was wondering how you found out you were factkin? —if you’re comfortable sharing!
I think I might be factkin with my cat. But I also might just be confused on the emotions I’m experiencing. she’s just like me. Whenever I look at her I see myself. And I’m just like her. And I hope she sees herself whenever she looks at me. But like she’s the only being I’ve ever truly felt seen with and felt understood me. So like maybe that’s playing into why I think I’m her, when I’m not, and I’m just like otherhearted or something.
I think the only thing actually stopping me from identifying as her, is the fact she’s real. If she were fictional I’d identify as her for sure. I also love her name and would totally use it for myself (but I picked it so ofc I’m gonna love it)
That sounds... pretty similar to the factkinny stuff I've experienced. I mean, while I do technically kin everything, which would include animals, my most notable factkin types are (not to be "basic") musicians and YouTubers. My advice on these things is usually "call yourself the label first and see if you change your mind after" but I get being more hesitant to call yourself factkin due to the stigma around that label. However, "seeing yourself" in something is like 99% a kin. So congratulations my newest probably-factkin 🎉 Hope this helped!

welcome to another culture-is blog, this time for factfolk of all flavours
this is for:
factkin
factives
fact endels/irls/das
etc
start your asks with "factID culture is" or similar
run by a factkin/factendel system with a factive host (collective pronouns he/him)
we're also open to questions, but we're not experts
let us know if you want us to add a content warning to a post
there's no DNI and all fact-sources are welcome, just don't be an ass. we also don't participate in discourse of any kind
taken emoji tags under the cut
i had a question but what is someting you wish anti factkin people would understand about factkin/IDing as factkin
Short answer: If you don't want us to interact with your posts don't put them in the factkin tag. The amount of "factkin DNI" banners I've seen under the factkin tag makes me question if people know how tagging works on Tumblr :P
More serious answer: We're not going anywhere. You have a right to think what you want and you have the right to your beliefs but we have always existed and we will continue to exist. Sending rude messages to people, spamming our tags, and debating our existence as if we won't see it is pretty much pointless. At worst, you'll make someone pretty upset, but you're not going to stop us from being ourselves.
If you have questions about the community, you are free to ask them! If you're confused about something or if you heard a rumour you want to confirm or deny please just ask! A lot of anti-factkin probably would be more factkin-neutral if they asked questions because there is a lot of misinformation out there. It goes without saying that you don't have to change your mind about our community. I am not in charge of you. But instead of being anti-factkin for the wrong reasons, be informed and be anti-factkin! Talk to us before you decide you're against us! Don't dislike us based on posts you've seen that may not be honest or may be taken out of context! Dislike us after you've had an honest conversation with us!
No person exists to be liked by every other person. I am completely alright knowing that people out there dislike me on the basis of being factkin. I just wish more people would ask questions instead of having a knee-jerk reaction!
On a more positive note, I've seen a lot more people than usual who are open to asking questions! It seems like people are becoming more interested in the community and it seems like the general attitude is changing from "factkin bad" to "factkin doesn't fit my idea of otherkinity but I am not going to go out of my way to fight with people" and I think that's really healthy! I'm really happy and I hope that trend continues.
