Candy Chang talks about learning what it is we want to do, before we die. She does this by going into a discussion of both abandoned buildings and loss. 

She lost a friend, which caused her to think about death -- as it does -- and it made her experience gratitude, as well as helped her to realize what things were important. However, it was a struggle to maintain that mindset. 

As a way to help maintain it, she created a chalkboard on a building, and had other people answer what it was they wanted before they died. 

She shares examples of what was on the wall, things like “I want to be tried for piracy”, “I want to straddle the international dateline”, “I want to live off the grid”, and “I want to be completely myself”, among others. 

This wall idea has spread across the world, allowing people to confront their mortality, by considering what they want.

It also gives rise to a sense of community by creating a public space.

Living on a Hope and a Prayer... March 15, 2020.

So much living to do... so little time...

Maybe I'm gonna die soon... maybe I'm not. Yes I'm frightened... but if it's going to happen it's going to happen and worrying won't make the journey any easier. I'm going to try my hardest to appreciate every breath of this precious life whilst I'm still able.

My hope is that I survive.

My Prayer is for every single one of you.
