During our trip to Children's last week Maverick FINALLY had his eyes reexamined. Since the New Year we have noticed that Maverick's eyes are sometimes out of focus either with one or both drifting upwards. When he was examined in April the Dr was unable to see it. Over the last 6 months it had gotten increasingly worse happening about 50% of the time. Apparently it's a good thing it's happening with both eyes as it means one isn't overcompensating for the other. So for the next 4 months Maverick will need to wear a patch over his eyes daily for 2-3 hours rotating between each eye. In January they will reevaluate but it is likely he will be fitted for glasses. However, we are less than optimistic that he will wear his glasses as he has a lot of aversions to anything being placed on his head or face. If he cannot adjust to glasses they will do corrective surgery.
