Look, I love smosh and Tommy. Lately I've noticed, though, how often he makes jokes crossing his eyes- it seems like he just started doing it way more often in the past year. It bothered me a bit, but I figured it would fall off. I was so excited for the Promline music video and smiling like a dork when I turned it on... Only for there to be yet another cross eyes joke in this one that's even more overt than the others within the first thirty seconds. It seems like it's becoming a running bit or inside joke among the cast. Amanda's "character creation" screen having a bar from "forward" to "crossed".
So. I just want to call this ableism out. It's disappointing and tiring and kills the vibe. Smosh are no strangers to making mistakes, they've been around forever and plenty of stuff they've made hasn't aged well. They've changed for the better as a channel, though, and now the cast features a lot of folks with marginalized identities. I don't think Smosh, the channel full of gay folks, wants or intends to punch down. So I'm giving this the benefit of the doubt and hoping they just apologize and stop with this bit.
I know they're not really big on this platform, but @smosh please don't do this shit anymore.
