As you see in his first life he became obsessed with eyes, his reasons are mostly unknown but the tale that was spread even after his death was how a monster that collected eyes would go village to village searching for green eyes
The truth of the matter is acctually how his right eye was torn from his face by his second owner as a means to buy him at a discounted price and his reasons behind ripping out his eye was that "both it's eyes are empty and soulless but it's right one is even worse it's void of anything, hideous if you ask me, ive always preferred pretty green eyes it'd look much better with eyes like that"
And there began his obsession with replacing his eyes with pretty green eyes
But he died before any possiblilty came to be.
This obsession sunk it's teeth so tightly onto his soul, so much so that it carried on throughout all his lives there onwards, always desperate and jealous of those with pretty green eyes
Even the earth Shen was envious of those pretty green eyes, wearing green coloured contacts over his pitch black eyes most the time
And his right eye is significant as every time his body is reset or his soul enters another body, his right eye Is always faulty
Why just his right eye if he had so many scars?
Because he was so obsessed with his eyes, his lost right eye and scar across it bore deep into his soul even deeper then his obsession which also clings deep Despite the loss of memory and knowing as to why
It bore so deep that his own soul cursed itself to forever have a faulty right eye
It is shens only blind spot through every memory ever
And also just to note, shen's black, voidless eyes are actually stunning and the filthy owner decided that if he plucked the eye out of him and came up with some sort of excuse as to why, he not only gets a pretty black eye souvenir but also a discounted street beauty
