Got the new one today. It’s based on the graphic novel, it’s pretty much a prequel to it. It’s nothing like the movie but pretty okay! The art was great! Tyler was…different from the movies compared to this lol 🤭

I think it’s to popularize Extraction 3 that’s beginning to film! Pretty cool! It was good! It felt like a James Bond/GI Joe comic book!

EXTRACTION 3 IS OFFICIALLY HAPPENING.

And it’s coming in hotter than anyone expected.

Chris Hemsworth returns, with Sam Hargrave back in the director’s seat and production is reportedly kicking off this summer.

The mission isn’t over yet.

Golshifteh Farahani and Idris Elba are also expected to return, locking in the core team for another brutal, high-stakes operation that promises to push everything even further.

He said in an interview this year that he had to make peace w the fact that his life has meaning even if he didn't get accolades, doing the thing he loves is enough. And that made me so sad. Because even if I wasn't a fan, objectively speaking, he is a terrific actor. He has incredible range and he disappears into every character. But his looks seem to get in the way - "he's just abs" "he plays Th*r in everything".

That said, I don't think he chooses projects for accolades, especially after the Alzheim*rs scare. He definitely is choosing them to gain new and rewarding experiences. He has said that the goal is to not keep doing the same thing over and over (like Jason Statham and Matt Damon):

Oh thank god I'm not the only one worried about the weight gain and loss. They said in Marvel productions that no one ever tells the actor who has given them 4 blockbuster hits what Thor's physique should be in each movie, it's entirely decided by Chris. So it was all him doing that insane 6k calories 6 hr workout 10 times bison meat routine for Thor4. His stunt person Bobby said I ain't doing all that you can do your own stunts you freak. And Nat said she was worried about how exhausted he looked all the time. She said it subtly that she knows his team is taking care of him but it still bothered her.

Similarly, I don't suppose the small filmmakers of Kockroach whose small production got saved by this A lister stepping in, derailing the schedules of his 10 other films, are going to ask said A lister to get leaner in 1.5 months. It most likely was his decision after reading the book/script.

It takes months if not years to lose muscle mass, doing it in 45 days is impossible going to take a toll on your body no matter what. This was him in March, his cheeks starting to get hollow:

Then this is him a week into shooting Kockroach a month later. Completely chiseled cheeks and so lean his suit looks oversized:

But now he needs to put back the muscle for Tyler and Th*r, and he hasn't yet a month later, because of course he hasn't - it's impossible. Contrary to popular belief, he is human. At the Subversion reshoots, he looks significantly different than what the sexy naval commander is supposed to look like:

His cheeks are still hollow and eyes are sunk in. It's stressing me out. Not to mention June is already gone, Extraction 3 only has till Oct and Secret Wars starts in Aug 😵‍💫

Another project I'm worried about is the bike racing movie. I looked up the desert race event and bro the highlight of it is how brutal the injuries sustained are 😳. It's going to be a brutal shoot with Chris grinding in dirt all day. Again, 42/43 is not old by any means but not that young either to do something as taxing as riding bikes in dirt for 3 months.

This was him in June last year while shooting Doomsday. Thor's is what he says is the hardest physique to maintain:

You can see how softly defined his muscles are. Not that I'm staring like a creep.

The muscles are so hard defined, quite literally rippling. 😵‍💫

He looks great, don't get me wrong. But he operates at 10% body fat, which is already too low. Usually only athletes operate on that rate. And now he lowered it even more for just one film he signed last minute, knowing it will derail the upcoming 4 shoots.

It takes a good few months to gain back muscle, even for a Norse God. By that time Extraction 3 shoot will be over bro. I guess we'll have leaner Tyler and Thor. 🤷🏻‍♀️

What's interesting is that for Doomsday, he said he only did the bare minimum and nothing more like he used to do for prev Marvel films because that takes a toll on him every time and he just can't do it anymore (alzheim*r's scare). Only to turn around and do it for Kockroach in record time.

I get that he is giving more importance to a project that is going to Cannes but Jerry being a bit muscular would have been A-Okay! It wasn't a necessity cause Chris isn't overly muscular like Dwayne the rock Johnson or Reacher. So I don't understand this madness to put your health at risk like this for no reason.
