A sunrise at the swallowtail lighthouse on Grand Manan. I set the alarm for 445 and when I woke up, I checked the weather - it said clear skies but out the window was heavy fog. I half debated on going back to bed but I decided I came all this way, I might as well try and see what I get. We stayed on the southern part of the island where the weather was completely different than the northern part. Where we were it was cold, windy, and usually foggy and 16 degrees c. The northern part would be 25-30. As I drove closer to the destination, the fog was parting and I was getting increasingly hopeful that the plan would work out, and this is the resulting image. A little bit of planning and luck worked out. One thing I'll day is the weather there is definately unpredictable...
