Me, an autistic:
I associate Luna very heavily with music (most of my headcanons of her include some instrument. Piano, vocals, whatever. It’s not very specific), and I’m not quite sure why. Perhaps it’s just an aesthetic thing, that I associate her with pale pinks and yellows coupled with lilting melodies because of her softly coloured physique paired with Evanna Lynch’s birdlike voice.
But I don’t just associate her with hummed cadences and soprano tunes plucked out on the piano. I associate her with rhythmic, upbeat music, intense classical orchestral pieces, angry rock.
I think, really, I associate her with music because it's an alternate means of communicating feeling, which is characteristic of most of our Luna interactions in HP. Luna has trouble communicating directly with people, partially because her interests/passions are not often shared with those people around her
I therefore think music weighs heavily in my feelings for Luna, because it has often been my own outlet for untranslatable emotions and passion. And it is those people in my life, and Luna’s, who will listen to the music that become truly friends and loves.
