Here's all the canon LGBT+ characters from Avatar Legends franchise!
Most characters aren't given specific labels (there are some exceptions like Korra, Asami Sato and Kyoshi who have been officially described with the term bisexual,) so some of these are my estimation.
I'll mention the source of where/when the character first appeared in and what era they existed in-universe for clarity.
LESBIAN
Kya
Aang and Katara's only daughter. She is a waterbending master and a renowed healer. She came out to her family and close friends in her youth and especially Aang was very supportive. She has traveled the world and has had more than one girlfriend during her life.
She was confirmed to be part of the LGBT+ community by the creators when they were asked about other such characters after The Legend of Korra ended. Her interest in women was later openly discussed in the comic The Legend of Korra: Turf Wars (2017.)
She is from Aang/Korra Era and The Legend of Korra cartoon (2013) and was confirmed in 2015.
Rangi
A fiercely loyal Fire Nation military officer with a strict sense of honor (and just strict in general) who is part of the noble Sei'naka clan and the only daughter of Avatar Kuruk's firebending companion Hei-Ran. She is the only known character to naturally bend white fire.
She was Avatar Kyoshi's girlfriend, personal bodyguard and firebending teacher during her youth. She expressed disdain at the idea of throwing one's life away for a man.
She is from Kyoshi Era and Chronicles of the Avatar: Kyoshi novels (2019.)
Suyin Wen (Susu)
Jin's best friend who became like a sister to her after she and her grandfather moved to Ba Sing Se and lost most of their own family. Her family owned a bakery in the Lower Ring but she was tragically (and unknowingly) forced to become a Joo Dee after her drunk father nearly lost their bakery and put them in debt while gambling. Fortunately she was saved from this fate.
She is stated to have no interest in boys, but had many male admirers unaware of this. She reacted to this with humor and it's humorously indicated she herself was interested in impressing the Upper Ring ladies.
She is from Hundred Year War/Aang Era and Avatar Legends: City of Echoes novel (2025.)
Zeisan
A princess of the Fire Nation and Sozin's younger non-bending sister who had a rivalry with him since childhood. After the nun Rioshon taught her Air Nomad philosophy and chi-blocking, the already quite rebellious woman became truly interested in dismantling her family's legacy of corruption and intended to swear off her earthly possessions and overthrow her brother. It can be assumed her plans did not end well for her.
She's had female love interests and has never shown interest in men: her plan to marry her friend and ally Khandro (leader of the Air Nomad renegade group Guiding Wind) was stated to be purely for political gain. She had actually fallen in love with Rioshon, but they both tried to ignore their feelings because they considered Zeisan's political goals more important to pursue.
She is from Roku Era and Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game - Core Book (2022,) but also appeared in Chronicles of the Avatar: Roku novels (2024.)
WOMEN-LOVING-WOWEN
Dalisay
A skilled non-bender scholar and scientist from Ember Island who specialized in metallurgy and fought using a rope dart. She believed in science being the future and looked down on Earth Kingdom people and benders who relied solely on their bending.
She was princess Zeisan's science tutor and they dated for a few months (during which Zeisan praised her intelligence,) but they broke up for unspecified reasons. Dalisay worked as young Sozin's henchwoman for a few years, though she did not like him and Sozin eventually imprisoned her after growing distrustful of her.
She is from Roku Era and Chronicles of the Avatar: Roku novels (2024.)

Rose was the headstrong daughter of rich and famous diplomats who studied to be a philosopher, had faced discrimination for her mixed Fire/Earth heritage and hated living in Ba Sing Se where her family moved after the war ended.
The two young women fell in love after Hua bumped into Rose while planning to steal her purse. They started a secret relationship and planned to run away together and live peacefully in the countryside, but then Rose disappeared under mysterious circumstances.

Massak from the Southern Water Tribe and Nyn Chei from the Fire Nation were both co-workers as inventors and also lovers.
Massak was a master boatwright with insatiable curiosity who believed her design would be used for swifter trading with the Water Tribes.
Nyn Chei was a brilliant technologist. She believed her ships would unite the world and lead to greater academic discourse, but Massak saw darker implications in Nyn Chei using her design for developing the Fire Nation's coal-powered fleet instead of what she promised and broke up with herโthough she still missed Nyn despite everything and after they had stopped speaking for years.

She arrived to the Fire Nation Capital during the time of growing friendship between the Air Temples and the Fire Nation nobility who were growing interested in the culture. She was not part of the renegade anti-nobility group Guiding Wind, but understood and was sympathetic to their goals.
She taught princess Zeisan and the two ended up falling in love, though they tried to ignore their feelings for the sake of Zeisan's political goals and Rioshon tried to keep her distance in fear of Sozin trying to use their relationship to harm Zeisan.

He settled for a happy home life after many years, but was restless.
He believed the Fire Nation had changed for the better under Zuko's rule and had fought alongside many firebenders over the years, understanding they were ultimately people who once lived in a very flawed system. He even fell in love with and married a firebender man named Sayako and they adopted a daughter named Lilly. She developed a habit of ice diving to deal with stress and accidentally discovered her ability to enter the Spirit World where the spirits perceived her as her true self. After unhappily trying to live a double life to please her parents, she eventually left her family and old life behind to train with a shaman who helped her to transition and hone her skills before sending her off to find her own tribe. However, their pupils split into rival factions because they disagreed with the superiority of different techniques, with the exception of Xin Ming. Yuka
The spunky, charismatic and experienced hotshot driver of Republic City's popular underground tunnel racing group Fireball Trio. They and their friend Saya ran away from their wealthy families to support their friend Mayu who was rejected by his family for coming out as trans. The three changed their names, opened up a garage as young adults and participate in tunnel racing to earn some extra cash and fame.
They are from Korra Era and Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game - Republic City (2023.)
Yuxuan
A young non-bender technologist from the Earth Kingdom who expertises in traps with overwhelmingly foul odors. They were adopted by the elderly man named Kim (the owner of the Eel-Swan Sauna) after their parents were arrested for protesting the Fire Nation's rule. When the war ended, Yuxuan was a rebellious teenager and made a big deal about going off to find their "real parents." However, when they got to the prison, they found out their parents had died in captivity. They were embarrassed about how they treated their adoptive parent and wanted to do some good in the world to honor their parents' legacy and also make lots of money to bring back to Kim as amends. They had planned to do this by capturing Qian Yu with their new companions, but changed their mind when she turned out to have a good reason for taking an Air Nomad artifact.
They are from Hundred Year War/Aang Era and Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game - Wan Shi Tong's Adventure Guide (2022.)
QUEER
Aiwei
The traitorous advisor and truth seer of the Metal Clan and a secret agent of the Red Lotus.
He was confirmed to be part of the LGBT+ community by the creators when they were asked about such characters after The Legend of Korra ended. They stated some are good people and some are bad as they gave Kya and Aiwei as examples.
He is from Aang/Korra Era, The Legend of Korra cartoon (2014) and confirmed in 2015.
Bo's parents
Two members of the Southern Air Temple's Council of Elders. There isn't any further information on them, but with the Southern Air Temple being primarily for men (cis and trans) and also non-binary people (who prefer this particular temple) it's indicated they're queer in one way or another.
It's also unclear what exactly is meant with them being Bo's parents, as Air Nomads often didn't have traditional family structures. They still could form close relationships with their biological relatives if they wanted to or form familial relations with other Air Nomads.
They are from Kyoshi/Roku Era and Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game - Wan Shi Tong's Adventure Guide (2022.)
PANSEXUAL
Jargala Omo
The leader of the criminal Creeping Crystal Triad in Republic City that uses the aforementioned green crystal as their trademark and a rival to the Triple Threat Triad under Tokuga. She is an earthbender who descends from the daofei (significant organized groups of criminals with their own code and traditions from the Earth Kingdom) of the Kyoshi Era.
She was stated to be pansexual by the artist Irene Koh. The way she interacts with Asami has a somewhat flirtatious undertone.
She is from Aang/Korra Era and The Legend of Korra: Turf Wars comic (2017.)
OTHER:
Not considered part of the main canon, but the legendary eartbending figures Oma and Shu were changed to two women in Netflix's live action version of Avatar: The Last Airbender (2024) while they were originally a heterosexual couple in the cartoon with Shu being a man. It would give them an additional reason to keep their love a secret alongside the rivalry between their villages.
Hopefully we will also get asexual and aromantic characters, like F. C. Yee (the author of the Kyoshi and Yangchen novels) said. These two come to my mind as characters who could potentially be somewhere in the spectrum.
A fan asked if Avatar Yangchen was intended to be asexual (context indicating specifically aromantic asexual.) F. C. Yee answered it's a valid and fitting interpretation, but was honest that it was not his intention while writing her characterโhe wanted to focus less on romance for the kind of story it was. Though not explicitly confirmed, her stories indicate mutual attraction with a waterbender boy named Kavik.
Khandro, the leader of the anti-nobility renegade Air Nomad group Guiding Wind, was stated to have never experienced romantic feelings for anyone for his entire life (he planned to marry his friend and ally Zeisan purely for their political goals,) though it's worded as him being focused on his spiritual goals.
I'd also like to mention that the term Two-Spirit (an exclusive identity and an umbrella term for Indigenous Native Americans) is referenced in the novel The Awakening of Roku (2025) within the context of the Water Tribe people who are inspired by them (Urulu tells Makittuq that there are other people like them and also others with two spirits.)
