A plush of @exdog‘s character Nobody the mothcat for an art trade! I wrote a new pattern for Nobody, I’m calling it a Sock Animal base pattern because it’s the simple, floppy-looking design of a plush made of scraps of socks. No socks involved though! 

Nobody is made of 100% acrylic yarn, polyester fiberfill, buttons for eyes, a plastic safety nose, and for the first time ever, plastic pellets in the paws and belly! I learned to use a serger so I could make sturdy little baggies of pellets to insert into the paws and tummy--but it turns out that through a thick layer of yarn plus a layer of fabric, it’s tough to even tell he has plastic pellets. But they’re there! Promise. Details like his anchor markings and his toe beans are “embroidered” with yarn. I think I secured the ends well enough so hopefully those won’t come unraveled. His mustache, ear tufts, and neck ruff are brushed yarn.

Expect to see more sock animals in future! It’s a great pattern for quadruped creatures, animals, and characters, so I’m probably going to make a few of my own Neopets in this style.
