maybe it all meant nothing

or maybe it meant everything.

maybe we depend on maybes to reassure us,

because it certainly didn’t end well -

at least not for me

but you don’t want to spend time thinking about that, do you?

instead,

you want to think about the endless 

maybes and the what - ifs.

and perhaps thats why we never worked out -

you were hung up on maybe

As humans, we naturally attach objects to emotions and people, making connections between different matters;

a song will remind you of a specific person, 

a place will be parallel to a memory, 

a picture to a moment, 

making something out of inanimate objects and things,

and I am beginning to see you in the different edges of my life.
