Faith absently licks the corner of her mouth and glances towards the door Daniel just stormed out of, still swinging shut. Asshole.

                Faith's lip curls into a sneer, teeth grit for a moment as she steps on a mangled monster's back for leverage enough to pull the Scythe free. She's not looking at Buffy, but she hears her. Wipes her brow with the back of her wrist and finally turns just enough to catch a glimpse of her sister Slayer, "You know what I really need right now? A lecture from the peanut gallery."

It's batshit in the morning and chilly for May. Faith's sure she'll miss that chill when summer hits and it's over 100 every damn day. She leaves Buffy where she is, gives the Scythe a shake to dislodge some of the gore and starts to slowly walk the highway's shoulder. Not far, just a few feet ahead to give her a better view of the tree line about two miles off road in the distance. She's not sure what she just killed, but she's damn sure she knows where it came from.
