              It's been a long fucking day. Few days. A bus, a plane, a rental car. At least the hotel she was put up in is relatively mid-range, so getting in the shower doesn't actually make you dirtier.

The pace of it all's been exhausting, she barely had time to spend way too much money on her hair, her nails and a new pair of chocolate leather pants. This all might be bullshit, but there's no way in hell she's going to see Johnny for the first time in three years and not look like a video vamp. It's not happening, let him eat his stupid heart out.

     Somehow never dawns on her that appearing on a TV talk show might not be a great idea, what with her still wanted for a prison break and all.

                      She's too busy grinding her teeth over not hearing from that bum in over a year, only to be dragged on the Dr. Bill show to air their dirty laundry in front of the entire country. So busy that she entirely misses her cue and a woman with a clipboard practically has to shove her on stage. Takes her a few seconds to get her bearings, but she does. Barely hears the host direct her to sit, which she does, across from that Coors Adonis who's nose she'd like to break, again. She does hear it when he asks, "Now, is it true that you kicked one of his teeth out?"

               "Why do you always gotta wait until the bottom of the freakin’ ninth to get cold feet on me? John, you been working your ass off on this and it’s gonna show. It’s a good idea. Just go in there and charm their lights out. We’ll get that loan, get the business off it’s feet. You got this, Baby.“

               "I hate you so much right now. Like, for serious. I mean, I’m gonna do it, but screw you.“
