Tipping back a glass of dessert wine, she scrunches her nose. For a proclaimed sweet wine, it was rather tart.

Stupid kid! Rocinante berates the small girl that insisted on being part of the Donquixote Pirates Family.  Knocked away by his extended arm, ‘Baby 5’ avoids certain death, and Rocinante receives a clean cut to his bicep. He doesn’t have the time to properly retaliate before the assailant is shredded into ribbons, their blood hitting him in a crimson spray.

Overkill. Absolute, vicious and effective overkill.

Kuma took her hands away reluctantly and removed her gloves slowly, contemplating the pads on her inner side of the hand, then looked up at him again. Her hands reached his face and cupped his cheeks. The inner part was soft.

The room they appeared in was dark, its walls and every piece of furniture made of black wood. The only exception was one of the wardrobes that was made of milky glass, standing next to the window. There was also a Bible on the cupboard and three teddy bears on the bed with black sheets.

The woman took a step back and put her gloves back again.

“I’ll be enough for someone, sure... but will you?”

He blocks her arm before it can hit his side, fingers curling tightly around her wrist and pinning it against the wall above her head. To think she would catch up to him so quickly. But now he has her in his iron grip and won’t allow her to call for backup. He immobilizes her legs with his own, putting his weight on her after pulling her up.

“Where do you think you’re going, Donquixote?”
