Spend enough time in the darkness and you start to make FRIENDS with the shadows -- even if you're the one casting them. She's no stranger to the spaces where the light isn't STRONG enough to reach; she knows he isn't either.
"Where I'm from, miracles always come with a price." Or fine print. Anything that seems too GOOD to be true...usually is. And there's never any light without a generous helping of darkness to go along with it.

Someone must have really pissed him off, someone that had just left perhaps? Lestat had gotten bumped by someone rushing out when he was heading inside this bar. How forward of him to just walk up to a man that looked this irritated.

🦊 What is the ambiance like, where you are? Are there any sounds, or sights that might be distinctive?
Since I live in the city, it’s a steady stream of cars. Horns blowing in a plethora of emotions, wheels in various shape turning as their cars go towards there destination. Trains can be heard at odd times.
Amongst the motorized ambiance, my eyes are often greeted by various buildings. Some former business abandoned to time others being built to fund the bullshit gentrification that claims to be for the people.
It’s for the people alright.
Just not the ones who lived here all their lives.

Vicki looked at the man through the lens of her camera before dropping it, giving him a quick flash of a grin as she met his gaze. It wasn’t every day she heard something like that. Still, he had striking features and she had to admit she was interested in photographing him.
“We’ll skip the blood this time.” She gave him a genuine smile. “How do you feel about posing for photos? Would you mind if I took a few?”
