. . This is one frequent "Achille's heel" in the #Eventide #H949 #Harmonizer : an almost dead AD7531, one of the two 12-bit DA converters used on the outputs, on the upper digital board. . The one for the Delay Only output (of the H949 of the @melodiumstudio in Montreuil) was effectively distorting the audio at very low levels... and also added a somewhat perceivable background noise all the time 😔 . Now that it's been replaced by a new chip, distortion AND hiss have disappeared. Back to @ratossentos 's H910 restoration . During the last step (that is, the alignment) there was no way to internally adjust the "MIN" pitch setting down to ".50" (as is normally expected on an H910): probably due to component value drifting over many decades of use (and certainly also to overheat), display and pitch-shifting couldn't be decreased under ".53" (moreover, with extreme settings of the internal trimmers!)... 😟 . So, after having replaced all involved trimmers with fresh-new ones (all of the cermet type), I'm manually determining the correct value for the biasing resistance that's in series with the "Min F" internal trimmer (responsible for the minimum allowable pitch-shifting).
