Mylene's Mother
While making up a Ghoul Squad post for their families (which will come out soon) I came up with a backstory for Mylene's biological mother. You can thank Weeby for coming up with the name and a few parts of the backstory.
So Fred used to be married to Evaline, a fellow thespian such as himself. While both of them were passionate about the stage, the problem was that Fred always put friends and family first, where Evaline was only concerned about being a star. While she decided to get pregnant, she wasn't concerned with actually being a mother beyond the bare minimum of feeding and cleaning Mylene.
She'd gripe and groan every time the baby woke her up in the night, making Fred deal with it or complaining that she could be headlining shows at the moment. Funnily enough, she never showed up to Fred's mime shows or his smaller roles in plays.
Evaline never cared about Fred's friends, but always made him visit hers. In particular she never bothered to help Imelda out with Manolo's abuse, asking over and over why she never thought of leaving (of COURSE she wanted to leave, but it obviously wasn't that simple).
It culiminated in her abandoning Fred and Mylene when she was a toddler. While Fred was devastated, he had help in raising Mylene in Imelda, with her son Jesse being friends with the girl since they were babies. Mylene called Imelda "Mama", much to her surprised happiness.
Evaline would only reappear in Mylene's life whenever she needed money or a favor from Fred. She never showed up for Mylene's talent show performances or school plays.
Mylene took up the acting business to show her mother that she could be just as good as her (if not much better), while still helping out her father and her own friends.
After Manolo went to jail (with help from the Tomassian family), Jesse became brave enough to call Fred "Dad", since he felt that the man was his real father. Him and Mylene shipped their parents so hard when they found out they were dating and eventually married.
So what do you think? Lemme know your own headcanons in the comments. Thank Weeby as well. @booksrbetterthanpeople @msweebyness @nerdy-chocomallow
