Manchester United's breakthrough midfielder Kobbie Mainoo placed third in the Ballon D'Or Kopa Trophy for U21s, behind wonderkids Lamine Yamal and Arda Guler, but ahead of Manchester City's Savinho. Ahh.

It's also worth pointing out that Mainoo dominated Rodri in the FA Cup Final - you know, the guy who won the main Ballon D'Or? Huh, anyway.

No Mainoo at the actual event, because United were too tight re: flights to get to the event and City said no, but Alejandro Garnacho and his partner Eva García were present. I should also point out that Balenciaga did Garna's tux and yes, it is meant to look a bit oversized and blocky. Apparently that's fashion.
