Student 1: I don't like raisins, they nasty.
Student 2, in defense of raisins: They're just old grapes!
Student 1: They should be euthanized.
I reuploaded these but edited. I think they look cuter now 🙃
Missing You
Dee-Dee
2011-2019
Pinecone and Rosey
2004-2018
A personal piece to vent my feelings. This serves as a memorial to my three lost darlings over the past 6 months. With my dog, Dee-Dee, being put down tomorrow morning I’ll have to be strong for my family when we do so I’m using this time now to grieve as she lays right beside my laptop.
My two cats, Pinecone and Rosey have been with me since I was four. I used to tell my parents that I wanted a black cat and a black and white cat with those exact names. Pinecone was named that to carry on the name of my grandmother’s black cat who was in poor health at the time and later died in 2005. Rosey, I have yet to remember why I chose that name. He was a boy too which makes it even stranger.
In August my father had them put down because he simply didn’t have the time to care for them. He would rarely be home and at this point they had recently turned 14. They were growing sluggish and had trouble getting around the house but I still believe they were unjustly taken away from me, my father not even having the heart to schedule the euthanization on a day I could see them go. Since my parents are split, I didn’t return to the home until days after they left.
While I have moved on from their death, my dog’s decent has been harder to take. She was diagnosed with bone cancer in June and has been living on borrowed time since December. The vet originally said she wouldn’t make it to Christmas. A tumor developed in her jaw bone, meaning it couldn’t be removed and she started to bleed if she ate hard food or played with her toys. Despite the occasional bouts of bleeding she was happy and lively. She acted like not a single thing was wrong even though her mouth smelled like death and the tumor made her mouth look swollen. The last few weeks have taken a very sudden shift. She went from not bleeding at all to suddenly having this long sticky strands of gore coming from her mouth. She’s gone from eating soft foods to not eating at all, and she can’t jump onto most places other than our beds. Right now her fur is shedding everywhere from the stress and a mix of blood and mucus is hanging from her mouth. I haven’t seen her move more than a slight shift in over 3 hours.
I’m saying my goodbyes as I type this.

I said goodbye to the goodest boye today... miss you buddy 💔
It’s chiefs last ride... he’s 9 years old and has been going downhill for a while now. I don’t want him to suffer. So it’s time to say goodbye. But he’s been a good boy. 🌹 R.I.P old guy. 💋
A line has been crossed.
“When humans are considered nothing but animals, instead of the truth that they're made in God's image, then euthanizing a child is no different to putting down a cat or dog because it has a problem. Only God has all authority over life and death.” (Ken Ham)
