Maurice invited Eurydyka on a date to Parisian Cafe. 

M: - You look stuning in that dress.

E: - Aww, thank you!

M: - Have you been here before? 

E: - No. But it looks like a nice place.

M: - Yes it is! Wanna see the backyard?

She agreed, so they proceed though the gate to see what’s behind.

E: - What a wonderful place! I’m so glad you showed me that! Just look at those trees and hedges, everything is designed in such interesing way! And all that backyard feel... 

M: - Yeah. (Does she always talk that much?)

E: - Um... I wonder... Eh... Do you like winter? I mean, winter sports?

M: - You mean, to move a bit? Sure. Wanna dance? (Gosh that was quick! I know we danced together already and she seems to like it, but I fired to say it without overthinking it properly).

E: - Yup! It’s a great idea, but where?

M: - Why not try here, if you like the place? (Am I weird or not?)

E: - Nice! I mean... I was never dancing outside like that before...

After a few moments of dancing in silence:

E: - This is actually quite nice feeling. Like... Like we are dancing to some imaginary music. And the place is nice indeed. And so peaceful. We have time to admire it a bit more.

M: - See? Sometimes I got a good idea. There is a club with a DJ booth upstairs, they play some good music there. But here is a lot more... peaceful, yeah, you already told that. And there is no one to watch us, too.

E: - Heh, I like it.

M: - What? When there is nobody watching?

E: - No, ah, that too, but I had something different on my mind. I like when you hold me with your hand like that.

M: - Like that?

E: - Exactly.

M: - What about... like that?

E: - Oooh, I like it even more!

M: (I just think like I want to kiss her. Does she want it too?)

E: - Um... I guess I see the windows of that club you mentioned. Those colorful ligths - it must be there...

M: (Ah, screw it, I just should at least try it! Better now than never.)

Mark:

- Did you hear? Boys are going out again, they just have called a taxi.

Emily:

- Aah, good! Do you remember us their age? Or, better, their older siblings? The eldest were dating here in our garden. Those rejected first kisses... I’m glad I don’t have to watch it all again. It’s better when they go out a bit. And we have so much time for ourselves!

Wacław and Maurice actually called their friends for a meeting, but only Eurydyka came to a club.

Eurydyka:

- Oooh my, Maurice... You look so handsome in that coat! I like your clothing taste!

Wacław:

- Gosh, why am I here to listen to that shit? And where the hell is Lisanne? WHY she didn’t come here? What am I doing wrong again? I thought she likes me, as we were sneaking out together and such... Maybe she doesn’t like my brother? And joined... dates? Does it count as a date?

Unsure what to do in such a company, all three went hesitantly to some bubble blowing. With the new ration of self-confidence gained through blowing bubbles, the teenage twin brothers decided to try their luck with karaoke. They were so caught up by doing it, that they forgot about their guest.

Later, at home. Mark:

- Do you think boys did have a good time?

Emily:

Maurice went to make some more shopping, as he was told to bring some more groceries home. Suddenly, he met Marcelle Curious, the one girl his beloved Eurydyka was bit afraid of.

Maurice: - Oh hi!

Marcelle: - Hi neighbour!

Maurice: - Heh, what a coincidence it is, that we are meeting in the same store here.

Marcelle: - Indeed. But as we already met, I can tell you something. Don’t you find it disgusting, that so many newcomers are living here, in Downtown? Ah, your family also moved here, but it was some years ago, and you are already known here, as a family. And you live in the old part of Strangetown, we are neighbours, after all. And your sister is even engaged to my older brother. So you know. But all those NEW people? Living here in Downtown and thinking that they have rights to call themselves “Strangetown inhabitants”? Now, as I came here, I see how many of them are actually here. That is disgusting. I feel ashamed, that my very uncle also moved here to live among them. 

Maurice: - Um, I... I don’t know... Marcelle, really. I... I think, that I kinda get your point of view, but... As for me... 

Teenage boy was unsure wheter to tell his true feelings to young Curious, or not. It seemed that she sorts people into “us” and “them” and stating another opinion would exclude him from being “us” in her eyes. But, on the other hand, trying to behave the way she expected would cause the same trouble his own girlfriend had: to always fear being judged by Marcelle. He didn’t want it. And he already told Eurydyka she shouldn’t care about it at all. How could he gave her such an advice if he himself was trying to do otherwise? No. He won’t ever let Marcelle or anybody force him to feel ashamed because of who he was, or his origin. Never.

Maurice: - You know, I just don’t care about that. I just like people, in general.

After his courageus, yet short answer, the boy just moved and left school colleaugue alone behind him. He was done with the topic. So he headed stright to shop fridges to get the groceries his mom asked him to buy.

Later, at home, Eurydyka sneaked in to put some astonishing huge bouquet of roses near the Beta house’s entrance. Roses as red as her dress. So, when Maurice found it, he was 100% certain who left it. They had a great date, after all. Nobody invited the girl in, as she wasn’t noticed in a mess already done by other guests. Emily was engaged with a talk with one of the neighbours, and Mark was just greeting their oldest son, Michael.

Wacław had seen Maurice carrying his huge red bouquet into his room. He said nothing. But he knew that his twin brother has way more luck and courage with the girls. The less lucky twin looked for a few seconds at his brother’s room door, and headed downstairs. There he met their oldest brother. Wacław didn’t knew him much, as both twins were just a babies or toddlers, when big siblings moved out to La Fiesta Tech. But he heard many things from their parents and always wondered, how their older siblings really are. 

After entering livingroom he felt a bit awkward. “How to properly greet your own older brother you don’t know too much?” After a second of uncertainty Wacław decided just to join the dance his brother begun in front of the stereo. 

Maurice: -  Let’s try the local specialties.

Eurydyka: - Like I said, I’d rather eat something small, cause it’s getting late. I’m afraid parents may worry or something.

M: - Right then, this is why we ordered dessert only. I also should go in not that long time.

E: - Aah, by the way, do you remember that homework we were supposed to do for tomorrow? I am totally not in the mood for such a school things now. And a bit afraid what miss Delarosa would say if I would go unprepared to school. And... well... what would other pupils say, too.

M: - Oh, c’mon. There is still some time after we will come back to our homes. And don’t worry about miss Delarosa. It’s just a beggining of the school year. As we started new class, everything is in a start-up phase, I don’t think miss Delarosa will be so strict on us. Of course, better if we had homework, but if it will be not our best... well...

E: - Are you sure? Because I doubt in my skills late at night. I may write something rather poor quality. And... friends?

M: - They are peole like we are, the whole class is in the same wheelchair, like they say. If someone is your friend, they will understand. And if they are not even your friend, than why do you care for their opinion? They should mind their own grades, after all.

E: - That makes sense. Thank you. It’s just... just that look of Marcelle Curious. I always feel like being judged by her. Like I am not good enough. This is weird...I shouldn’t care, but... somehow I can’t.

M: - Aww, forget it. Marcelle is not worth your uneasyness at all. Let’s don’t talk about school anymore this evening. Here is a little kiss for the most beautiful yet the greatest and nicest girl in the whole neighbourhood! 

E: - Ah, thank you! Oh how sweet! I’m... I will blush soon if you cotinue like this!

M: - You’re welcome. This is why I am here. Always ready to help, or to convince you on your self-esteem. Even if such an unworthy one I am myself.

E: - Oh, stop it! You’re not unworthy at all! I mean... I’m so glad I know you! It’s great to... to be here with you.

M: - Yeah. For me too. Why not raise a glass like adult people do? We are grown enough to do that, I suppose. So... for our sweet company!

E: - Yeah, for the time together. And for dancing.

M: - My sweetest companion wished for a dance, so here it is!

There are tales from long ago that still echo in the hollows and cracks of the Underworld–tales from before antiquity, when the very idea of the place was just beginning to take shape. when it was nothing more than an ephemeral, shadowy place at the outer limits of the ocean.

Some say if you walk far enough, and no one catches you, you can find water lapping at the edge of the Underworld, wine-dark and heavy with salt; and further still lies a small island bursting with greenery and unlife.

To Eidon, this place is no myth. It is a prison. The glimmering chain that is attached to his ankle allows him to wade into the shallows of the island, but no further.

The ultimate curse, he often thinks. Complete and utter solitude.

Marcelle Curious pop in after school to visit Eurydyka Theo. They live almost across the street, so she didn’t have much distance to go back. This is probably why she decided to come, but at first glance she seemed totally unsatisfied with the household. 

“It stinks here” said Marcelle right after she left the bus. Good start, girl. This is not how you make friends, you know? But she never care. Or maybe it’s just her face? She always looks proud and upset at the same time. With her usual facial expression she went to play guitar, with a stunning window view on her very own family house. (Vidcund’s Curious house is the bigger one on the left, the smaller one to the right is the Porthos brothel, ekhm... house).

When young miss Curious was busy playing (like if she didn’t own a guitar at home), the Theo family was freakin’ out to prepare a dinner for a private school boss. Everything seemed to be under control. Marina was cleaning all the pet beds to make a good impression. Erin planned to prepare a meal a few minutes before 17th o’clock, so the food will be perfectly fresh. What could possibly go wrong? 

Guess what? The fridge was totally empty. Trying not to lose herself in panic, Erin called a food delivery. She was frantically waiting in the kitchen, and despite her former plan to greet the boss by herself, she insisted on staying there. So when the school boss rung the door, it was Eurydyka, who went to greet him. While she walked to the door, mother hissed: “Engage him with talk as long as you can!!”

Teenage girl was trying her best on a field of small talk, and as the time passed, begun the tour on the house. Then came the food delivery truck, and Erin sneaked to get the ordered supplies. With her hands nearly trembling, she rushed back to the kitchen and started preparing a meal. When Eurydyka came to show the large kithen / dining / livingroom area to the boss, mother was still waiting in front of the stove, couting seconds inside her head. Seeing whats going on, daughter decided to talk again with the boss. Fortunately, her social skills must be quite good, as the boss seemed happy with the conversation.

Finally the whole family and guests (there was also Emily Beta visiting them after work) were called to take a sit and enjoy a meal. Marcelle Curious was too busy with the guitar to interrupt her music show, and Marina noticed there are not enough chairs in the dining area. So the youngest Theo daughter went with her plate to eat outside at the porch. She was soon joined by Emily, who kindly talk with her to make her more happy, so she wouldn’t eat alone at such a nervous day. The boss was really pleased by the dinner and decided that both girls may attend his private school. Marcelle shut the guitar and admit that she’s so bored, that she will go home.
