You already talked about this but the spectres are literally perfect foils for each other. Shadowmen are sleep paralysis demons, Baku eat nightmares. She's one of only a few spectres to never touch the ground (I'm not sure if she has legs?), meanwhile Prospero is literally the only one to never float. Eula is accepting of her ghostly status while Prospero is tethered to the living's problems, like illness and contamination.

They are both from times in history with intense prejudices against their ethnicity in particular (early 1910s, post WWII), and that shapes there worldviews, opportunities and struggles in a way that not a lot of the main cast can relate to. Immigrant culture is real and both were molded by it, but came out very differently

Both are probably autistic, Eulalie is very openly neurodiverse and doesn't mask all that much, leading to people deeming her strange or unappealing, while Prospero is at another extreme of masking heavily to the point of self-destruction.

They both refuse to leave people behind regardless of circumstance. Eulalie has her "friends don't leave friends behind" thing going on but is also always looking out for Will, trying to get him to make better decisions and leave Monty behind. Prospero goes and saves Monty and Ada despite hating both because he's fundamentally against the idea of leaving them to suffer.

Eulalie is very quick to make friends and for people to grow on her but he sucks at it.

Eulalie constantly has ideas of what to do and is often correct, like when she was trying to get away from the Will clone of Duke, but is never listened to, while Prospero has had a grand total of THREE original ideas. He follows along with what is going on instead of crafting his own ideas.

Most of the main cast infantilize her in some way, or treat her like she is incapable of understanding the situations at hand because "noticing things doesn't seem to be Eulalie's specialty". But Prospero is keen on believing that everyone is intelligent and capable of making informed decisions. Every time he has gotten mad at someone he's specifically pointed out that they "should have known better", except for Ada, who he points out her stupidity.

This is a headcanon for Eula but I think both are aro / arospec and that's just a fun bit about this ship

prospero: I just never enjoyed being seen as a man, you know. I suppose I never enjoyed being seen at all, but being called 'a man' always irked me. I believe it's a relatively common sentiment though.

eulalie: Not really, actually!

prospero: Hm?

eulalie: Most people are comfortable with being called a man or woman by other people. Do you think you might feel unhappy with being a man, maybe?
