Ace should've lived just so we could have a reoccurring bit of him aggressively hitting on Sanji every time we see him.
Every time he meets up with the crew he slides up to Sanji and puts his arm around him as he asks "What's cooking good looking?" and "What do I gotta do to get you to come with me? I'm begging ya beautiful!" *literally gets on knees*. An embarrassed and confused Sanji hides behind the girls. Luffy keeps yelling at his brother to stop trying to steal his cook. Zoro laughs and calls it Karma for Sanji's simp ways.
We could've had Ace pull up at the end of wci (as they're running away) because he heard in the news about Sanji's engagement and he came to crash the wedding. He's carrying a bouquet and Luffy tells him that he's too late. They've already saved Sanji. Ace gets heart eyes as he flings himself towards Sanji going for an embrace as he yells "So you're still single!? Marry me insteaaaaaad!! 💕". Sanji angrily kicks him in the face before Ace can embrace him.
He doesn't stand a chance, but won't quit that easily. His love has the burning passion of a thousand suns. Sanji is not impressed when he tells him this.
