I was tagged by readaroundtherosie a fairly long time ago, but I am now wrapped in blankets on a cold winter day so this is the perfect time :)
RULE 1: Always post the rules
RULE 2: Answer the questions the person who tagged you asked and write 10 new ones
RULE 3: Tag 10 people and link them to the post
RULE 4: Tell them you have tagged them
1) Series you DO NOT recommend?
Twilight is the only series I've read in its entirety that I would not recommend. There are also series where I've only read the first book the series, but do not intend on continuing reading the series, and, thus, do not recommend it. These include The Chemical Garden Trilogy, the Need series, and the Order of Darkness series
2) Are you giving any books for Christmas? If yes, what?
Not this year! Unfortunately...
Probably The Tent, by Margaret Atwood. It's a short collection of super-short stories, ranging in length from only a paragraph to a few pages.Â
Mildly embarrassing but it would be the Dragonology, Wizardology, and Pirateology books that I was obsessed with when I was younger.
I love the classic Catcher in the Rye cover. Out of books that I own, I really like the cover of my Madame Bovary.
6) Books stacked on your shelf or standing upright?
Mostly standing upright. I should take a picture of my bookshelves soon...
7) One book at a time or multiple?
Multiple, especially if one of them is a long book which I can't easily carry around.Â
Maybe The Master and Margarita, by Mikhail Bulgakov, in the best way possible. It's a satire of Soviet life in the darkest period of Stalin's regime, and it brilliantly features Satan and his crew-including the vodka-drinking, talking, black cat, Behemoth, as well as Pontius Pilate and Yeshua (Jesus) in ancient Jerusalem. I really recommend it, I don't think I talk about this book enough...
9) Hardback or paperback?
Hardback for the experience, but paperback for the price and convenience
I've read every one of the A to Z Mysteries, by Ron Roy, even though I was getting pretty old by the time the last few came out. That's 26 books!
Book you are most excited to see as a movie (even if it's only in your dreams)?
One of your favorite book quotes?
Which literary character would you go on a date with?
If your life was a book, which author would you choose to write it?
What do you use as a bookmark?
If you could move to the country/land/time period of one book, where would you go?
One book currently on your wishlist?
You get to meet one author. Who will it be?
I know a lot of people have done this already and don't want to do it again, so no pressure!Â
