Sic (Shicmuon) was walking away from the students that were pestering him as Professors Orphell and Deon watched. One of the students attacked Sic when Chevel stood in their way. Rood blocked the attack and looked at Sic who had his back to him. He seemed familiar. Rood was sure that he had seen this person before. Sic turned to look at Rood and he just stared at him. Sic’s glare instantly made Rood realize who he was. Rood thought to himself ‘Why is Shicmuon here!? Better keep low’. Rood smiled at Sic and asked him ‘Are you new here?’ Sic just glared at Rood even more, Rood turned his head and said ‘You will fit in here. Just try to make sure not to destroy the place. Ok?’ Rood waved at Sic and left with Chevel to speak to him. Sic was still glaring at Rood as he was leaving and he thought to himself ‘Suspicious. Heh this investigation just got interesting.’ Professors Orphell and Deon who were watching were in shock, especially Professor Orphell. He knew Rood to be a normal ‘Weak bodied’ child yet he was able to stand up and talk to Shicmuon. Any normal child Rood’s age would run away from Shicmuon because of his violent aura but Rood just smiled. Professors Orphell and Deon where now confused yet intrigued on what would happen next.

Sic was looking through the list of students who were involved in the Ishuella incident with Professor Heil, and sure enough he found Rood’s form. Sic glared at the form as if he wanted to kill it. ‘Rood Chrishi. So that’s your name?’ Sic glared at the form for a while he then grinned and started laughing. ‘Yea I will fit in here. I hope you make this fun for me Rood Chrishi.’

Rood was sitting by Lidusis, Dio and Iel at break chatting about their lessons but Rood was deep in his thoughts. Dio looked at Rood with concern ‘What’s wrong Rood? You seem distracted.’ Rood snapped out of his thoughts and looked at Dio ‘I have a felling something bad will happen soon. I don’t know why.’ Dio had a surprised look on his face like he had seen a ghost ‘Really? A~Are we getting a surprise test!!!!!? *Thinks of the test* NOOOOOOOO!!!’ Rood laughed at Dio’s reaction and replied happily ‘No it isn’t a test…. I think. It seems more like a fight is going to break out’ Dio looked at Rood with a worried expression as Rood carried on ‘Maybe it’s because of that Hereis that kept glaring at me.’ Lidusis looked at Rood with a surprised look ‘A Hereis? Are you going to be ok Rood?’ Rood grinned and said in an uncertain voice ‘Yea he was only giving me the death stare and looked like he wanted to kill me. That’s all.’ The 3 just stared at Rood when Iel said ‘This might lead to trouble. We better keep an eye on this Hereis, he seems like trouble.’ Rood nodded and thought to himself ‘Time to act the part of the ‘ill Handsome Genius’. I never thought that I would need to use this but I have no choice.’

The next Day

Rood, Dio and Lidusis are walking towards their classroom when Rood says ‘Dio, Lidusis, I am going to need you two too pretend that I am weak bodied from now on.’ Dio and Lidusis looked at Rood in confusion Dio asked Rood ‘Why!? Is it because of that Hereis?’ Rood turned to them and sighed ‘That new Hereis is actually a really powerful magician who came here because of the Ishuella incident; and frankly I don’t want someone that dangerous trying to pick a fight with me. He likes fighting people he finds interesting and I accidently caught his attention.’ Lidusis managed to smile a bit ‘Ok Rood, we will help. I don’t want you to get hurt either. Right Dio?’ Dio nodded ‘Yea of course. But Rood we don’t run into Hereis a lot because we are in Idun.’ Rood had a depressed look on his face as he explained ‘Oh trust me Dio we will be seeing his face around here pretty soon. His undercover name is Asujen Bladwin.’ Dio and Lidusis both looked at Rood with a blank stare. Dio sighed ‘Rood how dangerous is this guy exactly?’ Rood replied with a serious face ‘You know about the incident at the Auction House?’ Dio nodded ‘Yea it collapsed after demons attacked it right?’  Rood shook his head ‘I was there that day and the demons did not make it collapse. Asujen Bladwin blew the place up because the Black magician wouldn’t fight him. Well his magician name is Shicmuon no doubt you heard of him. He practically ignored the demons and was actually willing to get rid of the people around him too.’ Dio gulped ‘H~He blew the place up!? O~Ok Lidusis please remind me not to get on that guy’s bad side.’ Lidusis looked at Rood and Dio with a worried look ‘We won’t be on his bad side hopefully. We will help Rood. I will tell Iel when we get to the classroom.

Rood, Dio and Lidusis are in their seats waiting for professor Orphell to start the lesson when he comes in with Sic ‘Everyone this is Asujen Baldwin, he will be joining some of our lessons for now’ Sic’s gaze went straight to Rood. Dio and Lidusis shivered at his glare but Rood Just stared back at him smiling. Sic walked towards Rood ‘Professor I think I will sit here.’ Sic was now standing in front of Rood’s desk staring intensely at Rood. Professor Orphell was worried what Sic’s intention was ‘Asujen you can’t just....’ ‘It’s ok professor!’ Rood interrupted professor Orphell and looked up at Sic ‘Asujen is new here and since I am the best academic person in the class I can help him if he gets stuck.’ Orphell was still worried but he felt a little more relieved that Rood was so calm about it ‘Ok then, Asujen please get along with Rood.’ Rood looked at Sic and smiled thinking to himself ‘I have to make him think that I am at least a little bit normal.’ Sic returned the smile with an intense glare. ‘You… are strange’ Rood gave Sic a puzzled look ‘Really? I never noticed.’ Sic stared at Rood throughout the entire lesson till dinner time. Rood walked over to Sic ‘Hey Asujen, do you want to have lunch with us?’ Sic gave Rood a displeased look ‘Why would I want to do that?’ Rood smiled happily ‘Well we want to get to know you. After the Ishuella incident it would be nice to talk about something different.’ Dio snickered ‘Yeah like how Rood’s short temper gets us in all sorts of trouble.’ Rood turned to Dio smiled then whacked him on the head. Dio who was now on the floor went on ‘Y~Y~Yea that short temper’ Rood Glared at Dio more intensely than Sic glared at him before. Dio stood up ‘I will be quiet now’. Sic smiled ‘I see’ Rood turned to Sic ‘Just ignore him I don’t have a short temper at all.’ Dio started to laugh but went quiet when Rood glared intensely at him again. Sic looked at Rood and thought to himself ‘Heh this kid seems fun.’ Rood turned back to face Sic *Cough* ‘So Asujen will you come and have lunch with us?’ Sic thought for a bit ‘I have to keep an eye on this kid’ before he replied ‘Yea. Why not sounds fun.’ Rood smiled and started walking with Lidusis, Dio, Iel and Sic to their usual hangout. On the way there they ran into professor Orphell. Professor Orphell was surprised to see Sic walking with Rood and his friends, Rood looked at professor Orphell ‘Hi professor Orphell, we were just going to have lunch with Asujen. I think he will fit in pretty well here.’ Professor Orphell looked at Sic ‘Really? That’s good then. Rood thank you for helping Asujen.’ Rood smiled ‘No problem professor, Asujen is fun to be with so that makes it easier.’ Both Professor Orphell and Sic looked at Rood in surprise, they did not expect Rood to say that. Rood waved professor Orphell goodbye as they continued to walk to their hangout.

Lunch time

Rood, Lidusis, Iel, Dio and Sic were all sitting having lunch when Sic asked 'So what happened with Professor Hail?’ Lidusis lowered his head as he still blamed himself for the incident, while Iel and Dio gave him the * Why did you have to say that* look. Rood looked at the other 3 'Its ok guys, it's only natural for him to be curious'. Rood turns to Sic 'I only know the first part but the others told me the rest' Sic just nodded. Rood went on to explain 'We were supposed to be going to the Tower for our first Practical Test but just as we were getting ready to leave a mana doll appeared and took over the teleportation circle and black water started to come out.'. Dio then remembered something 'Yea and Rood blocked one of its attacks.' Sic looked at Rood with suspicion 'Really?' Rood quickly corrected Dio 'Yea but it was only water Dio, there was no mana in it to cause any damage. Even you could have blocked it Mr Last Place.'. Dio shot up 'Ah! You're making fun of me again!’ Rood laughed lightly and went on 'Anyway, that water took us to Ishuella, but the problem was that there were demons there. Nothing including demons should be living in Ishuella.’ Iel interrupted Rood 'Wait a minute! Why were there demons there then? I didn't see any.' Rood looked at Iel 'Well that is what's so strange about it, everyone that was not in your group got attacked by demons.' Iel then seemed to be rethinking about what happened, Rood then went on 'From what the others told me Professor Heil turned into something that can only be described as a mix of human and demon. He was ready to kill them but the Black Magician saved them. That’s all I know, after that the Tower came to take us back.’ Sic was staring at Rood intensely 'So he was a mix of human and demon?' Iel then snapped out of her thoughts 'Now that you mention it he had blue blood!' Lidusis turned to Iel 'Really? I didn't notice.’ Rood then said his thoughts out loud ' Well the Tower was sent to investigate so I doubt they would tell anyone the truth. If he was a mix that would be a huge problem for them.’ Sic and everyone else just stared at Rood in shock, Dio shot up again 'Rood! You are not to speak like that, what if someone hears!' Sic just looked at Rood with interest 'Really? Hmm interesting'. Rood lightly laughed 'Well they are probably wandering around the school now who knows.’ Sic glared at Rood, Rood noticed and replied with a flat glare at Sic. Sic's eyes widened as he thought 'Huh? This kid got some guts.'

Dio shot out of his seat energetically 'We got practical now. We have to train our bodies so we can be prepared for any incidents like the last one.' Dio then remembered something and looked at Rood 'Well nearly all of us will be.' Sic gave Dio a confused look 'What do you mean 'nearly' all of you?' Dio managed to put on an awkward smile as Rood sighed 'He means me, I am not allowed to do practical.’ Sic just stared at Rood 'Why?' Rood looked at Sic and smiled 'Well I have a weak body so I have to do special therapy lessons at a different time.' Sic didn't believe rood and just stared at him 'You weak bodied? I don't believe you.’ Rood crossed his legs and replied 'It's true, my condition is rare but if I slowly build up my strength it will go away, but if I have a sudden outburst of power I will go into critical condition. That's why I am not allowed to do practical because it can bring on an outburst.’ Sic was making mental notes as Rood went on before Iel interrupted them 'Sorry to interrupt your conversation but it is time to go back to class.' Rood laughed happily 'Oh and it is. Let's go then.’ All 5 walked back to their class.

Rood was reading on the side when professors Orphell and Deon came over to talk to him. Professor Orphell sat next to Rood ‘How is Baldwin fitting in then? He hasn’t caused any trouble now has he?’ Rood smiled and laughed a bit ‘No, he hasn’t caused any problems and he is fitting in quite well.’ Rood looked towards the student who were training and waved at them ‘They seem to like this lesson the most.’ Orphell and Deon looked at each other then back at Rood. Orphell smiled at ‘Rood ‘So what were you reading then? You looked quite interested in it.’ Rood smiled back at Orphell ‘It’s called The Summoner Chapter 3’ Deon interrupted ‘but only Hereis and professors have access to those types of books! Chapter 3 is especially hard to understand even the Tower has a hard time with it.’ Rood smiled at Deon ‘I had Hadelio get it for me and I was reading it before I came to Helios, I find it quite easy to understand.’ Deon just looked at Rood with a puzzled expression and Orphell sighed ‘Are you sure Baldwin isn’t causing any trouble?’ Rood looked at Orphell in confusion ‘He is fine, he seems interested in the students too.’ Deon looked at the students ‘Really?’ Rood smiled ‘Yea, my goal is to make him my friend!’ Orphell and Deon just stared at Rood and both accidently let out ‘what?!’ Rood went on ‘When I first came here Lidusis was called a monster and was bullied.’ Both professors listened carefully to the story. ‘With some determination and constant pestering he started talking to me. After that *cough* incident in the hall everyone began to think differently and stopped bulling him. I want Baldwin to feel at home like Lidusis did eventually.’ Orphell smiled and patted Rood on the head ‘Good luck then.’

Orphell then said ‘Rood I want your opinion on what happened with Professor Heil.’ Rood sighed ‘I wasn’t in the group that got attacked by professor Heil but I will tell you what I think.’ Orphell nodded and Rood went on ‘Before that mana doll showed up I was inspecting the teleportation circle and I noticed something odd, I was looking it up in this book.’ Orphell looked curiously at the book ‘what did you find?’ Rood looked at Orphell ‘I looked it up and the teleportation circle was made so that it would only activate if someone from the Tower was present.’ Deon interrupted again ‘What! How do you know that?’ Rood went on ‘The Towers emblem of teleportation was there, that’s why I looked it up to see what it meant. I looked it up and anyone that has been given that emblem can activate the circle. This means that the mana doll belonged to someone who has an emblem because there was no one else with it there.’ ‘Also that circle was never intended to go to the Tower but that is obvious now.’ Orphell who looked shocked said ‘So you think there is a traitor amongst the Tower?’ Rood sighed ‘Most likely, but since the circle disappeared they didn’t think to check the big mana stone.’ Deon interrupted *Again Deon Really?* ‘You mean the one that was used to transport you? What about it?’ Rood looked at Deon with an agitated look ‘For safety reasons it records all information about any teleportation methods it is used for, so it should be there, the evidence to prove my theory right that they have a traitor.’ Orphell started to think deeply when Deon asked ‘Rood how do you know how to read magic circles?’ Rood perked up ‘Well I was studying them with my *Cough* father before I came to Helios.’ Deon stared intensely at Rood then he started to laugh lightly, Orphell looked at Rood ‘We will check that out now. Thanks.’ Deon and Orphell Ran off.

Just as they left Sic walked over to Rood, Rood waved ‘Hey Baldwin, why are you not training?’ Sic sat next to Rood ‘It’s too easy for me.’ Rood laughed lightly ‘Really? Well I like to watch people when they are training.’ Sic looked at Rood with confusion ‘Why?’ Rood smiled innocently ‘Because you can find their weaknesses that way.’ Sic now had a creepy smile ‘Oh really now?’ Rood just went on ‘They say to defeat an enemy, first find their weakness right? This is the best way to find it.’ Rood now had a scary smirk on his face when Sic thought to himself ‘Hm I like this kid, he seems to have the same mind-set as me.’ Rood snapped Sic out of his thoughts just by staring at him ‘Hey Baldwin we are friends right?’ For once in his life Sic was actually shocked and only replied with a feeble ‘Yea’ Rood smiled happily ‘That’s good then.’ Sic looked at Rood ‘Why did you ask?’ Rood glanced at Sic ‘Well I thought that you wouldn’t like me because of your violent personality.’ Sic just stared at Rood as he went on ‘I mean it must be quite boring here for a rank one magician like you.’ A red magic circle appeared behind Rood and Sic was glaring at Rood ‘How did you know?’ Rood smiled and looked at Sic ‘I have known from the beginning, I can read auras and when I saw you your aura was really strong. Only official magicians have an aura that strong, plus that clip on your ear is a disguise right?’ Sic’s glare had now intensified ‘If you tell anyone I will eliminate you with no second thought.’ Rood smiled ‘I won’t tell anyone; we are friends after all.’ Sic retracted his spell and grinned ‘I think I will fit in here.’ Rood smiled happily ‘I told you, you would but all the Idun has noticed that you are an official magician.’ Sic stared at Rood in surprise but Rood went on ‘If you want I can use this item here to make them forget.’ *Rood holds out a purple crystal* Sic sighed ‘Why would you do that for me I can just give them amnesia *Evil aura leaks out of Sic*.’ Rood replied quickly ‘because you are my friend and more than giving them amnesia you would probably end up killing them.’ Sic’s menacing aura diminishes and he gave Rood a genuine smile while patting his head ‘Thanks kid’ Rood thought to himself ‘Wait! He can smile without having the intent to kill!! What is happening?!’ Rood smiled back ‘Its ok and its Rood not kid. OK?’ Sic leaned back on the wall now more relaxed with Rood ‘So will you wipe me out of their memories?’ Rood turned to Sic ‘No just the fact that you are a magician if I wipe you from their memory someone will notice.’ *Rood activated the crystal* Sic just stares at the crystal ‘Wont the professors notice this happening?’ Rood laughed lightly ‘The power output is so small that they won’t notice and I sent the two from the Tower away.’ Sic laughed ‘You really are smart.’ Rood activated the spell ‘Why thank you.

Professor Orphell and Deon were going through the documented events that were saved in the crystal to find the Towers teleportation seal to see if Rood was telling the truth when Deon said ‘Something seems off with that kid.’. Orphell turned to Deon ‘What do you mean by that Deon?’ Deon stared at the floor while thinking and replied ‘Well think about it, first it is already strange that a student could read a magic circle this complicated *Points at crystal* and he is only an Idun at that too. Plus how did he know that this crystal kept records when not even we knew? It’s strange.’ Orphell thought for a bit and replied ‘Deon maybe we should keep an eye on Rood for now and don’t put this in your report as it may be a misunderstanding.’ Deon nodded.

Training grounds with Rood and Shicmuon

Rood suddenly turned his head to look towards where Professor Orphell and Deon went and Sic stared at Rood ‘What is it?’ Rood looked at Sic ‘Well it seems like professor Orphell and Deon are suspicious of me because I could read an extremely complicated magic circle, heh wops’. Sic looked at Rood intensely then patted him on the head ‘Well looks like we are in the same boat now.’ Rood smiled at Sic ‘Well it’s not like they will report something so uncertain so I should be fine.’ Sic smiled and walked back to the training grounds. The day ended with Rood, Lidusis, Sic, Iel and Dio going to the campus coffee shop.

At 7am Rood woke up to Lidusis calling him ‘What is it Lidusis?’ Rood slowly got up while wiping his eyes, Lidusis smiled ‘The school just announced that there will be a special assembly at 8am.’ Rood sighed as he pulled himself out of bed ‘Ok then, I’ll go get ready.’ Rood got dressed and went to the assembly hall with Lidusis. After the assembly they went to their usual hangout with the others. At the hangout they were talking about the assembly Iel asked a question ‘Do dose everyone have a place to stay?’ Dio nodded ‘I can’t believe they are sending us back home for a whole month.’ Rood sighed ‘Damn I don’t think my guardian is at home, he said something about traveling the world.’ Sic coughed ‘Really *lightly laughs*?’ Lidusis tugs on Rood’s arm ‘Um, my mother said that I could bring a friend home with me. So if you want you can stay with me.’ Rood smiled ‘Thanks you’re a lifesaver you are.’ Lidusis smiled when Sic remembered something ‘Oh yea halfway through the month me and my father will be going to the Artian estate.’ Rood looked at Sic ‘Oh really? We will be sure to greet you. Right Lidusis? *Lidusis nods* so how long will you be staying?’ Sic smiled ‘Till the end of the month.’ Rood looked at Lidusis ‘Well this will be a fun month.’ Lidusis nodded and they all left for their rooms to prepare for departure. Rood got his communication ball and tried to contact Master ‘Hey Master you there?’ ‘Hey Rood did you miss me so much that you wanted to hear my voice?’ Rood said nothing ‘Ok I’ll stop, what’s wrong?’ Rood sighed ‘I will be staying at the Artian estate for a month ok? The school is out for a month and I will be bored if I go back when you are travelling.’ ‘Ok then but are you sure you are allowed to go?’ Lidusis answered Master ‘He is allowed, my mother said that I could bring a friend.’ Master choked on something as he heard Lidusis ‘Rood……. Why is Lidusis there!?’ Rood sighed again ‘Well he knows that I am Blow and we sort of became best friends too. Right Lis?’ Lidusis nodded ‘Yep.’ Master started crying ‘You….you finally got friends! For such a long time you were so stubborn about it that even adults avoided you! Fi…. *Rood turned off the communication ball*’ Rood glared at the ball ‘I wasn’t being stubborn I was just concentrating on my work *starts to mumble*’ Lidusis laughs lightly.

The next day

Everyone was getting ready to go home, Sic and Iel had already left and 3 people came to pick Dio up (These 3 are Gamode, Rubymonter and Elzeble disguised.) Rood walked over to Dio ‘Hey Dio, thought I should come say bye first.’ Dio hugged Rood ‘Yea, please save me!’ Rood sighed ‘it’s your fault for skipping that test, that’s why they gave you all that homework.’ Dio gave Rood the puppy eyes ‘Fine here *hands paper* that will help you solve the problem. Just get a magnifying glass.’ Dio was confused so he looked at the paper ‘Their dots!?’ Gamode got a magnifying glass and looked at the paper ‘These are all the answers!’ Rood put his finger to his lips ‘Shh, we don’t want the professors to find out. If you don’t get a perfect score on that homework you will get expelled so I gave you the answers.’ Dio smiled ‘Thanks Rood! But how did you know what the questions will be?’ Rood pointed at the paper ‘I didn’t, that’s why I wrote down all the answers to every question they could possibly ask you. You just need to match the answer with the question.’ Dio stood in shock ‘Wow. Your amazing Rood.’ Rood nodded ‘Well I’m off then *waves*.’ Dio waved back then walks off with the other 3. Rood got into the carriage with Lidusis ‘Hey Lis.’ Lidusis smiled and the 2 of them had a great time talking with each other all the way to the Artian estate.

At the estate

At the Artian estate Lidusis’ mother, father and brother were waiting at the gate with lipsen and Fran. Duchess Artian asked the Duke a question ‘Dear why are you here? I thought you had work to do?’ Duke Artian looked at her ‘I heard that Lidusis was bringing a friend with him for a month, so I decided to come meet him and to make sure that his ‘friend’ isn’t impolite.’ The Duchess looked surprised ‘A friend? Oh my, he is finally settling in.’ Lipsen thought to himself ‘I have a felling it’s going to be him *thinks of Rood*. Nope it is defiantly him!’ The carriage pulls up and Lidusis steps out with Rood. Duke Artian walks over to Rood ‘So this is your friend Lidusis?’ Lidusis smiled and nodded ‘Yes father.’ Rood smiled ‘My name is Rood Chrishi, pleased to meet you Duke Artian,’ Duke Artian looked at Lidusis ‘He has great manners, you have a wonderful friend Lidusis.’ He then walked back into the house, the Duchess walked over to Lidusis ‘Lidusis why did you bring him here?’ Lidusis looked confused ‘You said I could bring a friend with me.’ Lidusis then grabbed Rood and ran into the house. The Duchess turned to Lipsen and Fran ‘Keep an eye on that kid.’ They both nodded and ran after them. Lidusis sat down at the table on his balcony and Rood brought some tea out ‘This tea is limited edition, I’m glad I brought it with me.’ Lidusis smiled ‘Sorry about my family, my brother didn’t even say hello.’ Rood sat down ‘Its ok, I’m not here to hang out with them anyway.’ Lidusis smiled as a maid walked out on the balcony ‘Your lessons are about to start Mr. Artian.’ Lidusis got up ‘Oh I forgot about that, sorry Rood.’ Rood got up ‘Let’s go then, I will join you.’ Lidusis smiled as they both walked to the lesson.

At the door to the study Room Lipsen and Fran were waiting. Lidusis and Rood got to the room and Lipsen looked at Rood ‘We were sent to keep an eye on you two.’ Lidusis looked worried but Rood just smiled ‘I see *Walks into the room* keep up the good work.’ Rood and Lidusis sat down, Lipsen and Fran sat behind them. Throughout the lesson Lidusis took notes and Rood just sat there. Fran said to Lipsen ‘Do you think that kid is……well….weird? He hasn’t taken any notes but is still helping Lidusis.’ Lipsen nodded ‘Maybe he is more than he says he is.’ The lesson finished at 10pm and Lidusis was tired ‘*Yawns* I’m tired, Rood lets go to bed now.’ Rood closed the book he was reading ‘Yea it is getting pretty late. Let’s go then.’ Rood and Lidusis walk to Lidusis’ room when Fran asked them a question ‘Um Rood? Why are you sleeping in the same room as Mr. Artian?’ Rood looked at Fran ‘Because Lidusis feels uncomfortable if I don’t.’ Lipsen and Fran look at Lidusis ‘Yea it’s true, Rood has a calming presence.’ Rood smiled ‘It’s probably because you got so used to it because we are roommates at school.’ Fran looked confused ‘Uh ok.’ Rood looked at Lidusis ‘Let’s go to bed then.’ Lidusis nodded and walked into the room.

Rood and Lidusis walked out of their bedroom to be greeted by Lipsen and Fran. Lidusis covered his mouth and yawned, Rood looked at Lipsen and smiled ‘Good morning you two.’ Lipsen looked at Rood then replied ‘Good Morning, and where are you two going this early in the morning?’ Lidusis looked at Lipsen and smiled ‘We are going to the meadow, the one with lots of flowers to practice chess.’ Lidusis’ brother Isao appeared behind Fran, he had an oddly sinister smile on his face ‘Oh really? Have fun then.’ Rood and Lidusis then started to head for the meadow, Isao watched them as they walked on ‘Lipsen, Fran follow me now.’ They followed Rood and Lidusis to the meadow and hid when Fran became a bit concerned ‘Um Sir why did you get us to follow them?’ Isao smirked and calmly replied ‘Well you see I don’t want Lidusis to have anyone to help him at all, no friends or anything so we have to get rid of this Rood kid the same way I killed that Ibriel Hadelio. With a demon.’ Lipsen and Fran quickly looked at Rood and a Demon appeared behind him, Lidusis looked surprised and traumatized because this happened before. Rood just sighed and clicked his fingers, as he did a giant black manna arrow shot through the demon killing it. Rood looked at Lidusis and smiled ‘We don’t want anyone ruining our precious practice time now do we?’ Lidusis smiled happily as they began their chess match. Fran, Lipsen and Isao stared in shock, Isao then got angry ‘Why did you not tell me he was an awakened magician!?’ Fran looked flustered and couldn’t get a word out when Lipsen sighed ‘We didn’t think that you would try to do this so we didn’t tell you, plus he was not supposed to be this powerful.’ Isao bit his nail then stormed off back in the direction of the mansion, both Lipsen and Fran followed. Rood looked at Lidusis who was planning his next move and chuckled ‘This is quite fun, maybe when Baldwin comes over we can invite Dio and his three friends too?’ Lidusis looked up at Rood and smiled ‘That’s a great Idea, I will ask my parents tomorrow!’ Rood smiled and nodded.

For the next 2 weeks Isao sent many demons to kill Rood but none has succeeded and Rood didn’t even need to awaken to kill them. During this time Lidusis got closer to Rood and started to forget that horrible memory, The Duke and Duchess were overjoyed to here that Lidusis wanted to invite more friends over and agreed to let them stay however long they wanted. They asked about Rood one day and Lidusis replied ‘Rood is my best friend, even if mother did send him to me to help me out Rood is the best friend I ever had.’ The Duchess was shocked that he found out but was happy that Rood decided to tell Lidusis because he thought of him as a friend. It was now halfway through the month and Shicmuon was coming to visit with his father like he said they would. Lipsen and Isao decided to go to a spa village because Isao got so stressed at not being able to kill Rood that the Duke sent him there so that it wouldn’t hinder his work.

Lidusis and Rood accompanied the Duke and Duchess to the front of the estate, the Duchess looked at Lidusis ‘Why did you accompany us? Your friends are arriving tomorrow are they not?’ Lidusis looked at his mother ‘Yea but when we were in Helios one of our friends said that he would be with the group that is coming today.’ 2 carriages then pulled up to the estate Sic came out of the first one with his father, Van and Eruen came out of the second one with a box. Sic walked up too Rood and Lidusis, Van looked at Sic and was worried that he would do something when Rood smiled at Sic ‘I told you that we would greet you, how has your month been so far then?’ Sic smiled then looked at Lidusis, Lidusis also smiled ‘So you are going to be staying here then? That’s great it has been kinda quiet around here lately.’ Everyone just stood in shock as Rood and Lidusis were talking to Sic like they knew him for years, Sic turned to look at Van ‘I’ll be off now then, see ya.’ Sic waved as he walked off with Rood and Lidusis, Sic’s father Lanoste looked at Van who was just standing there staring in disbelief then looked at the Duke ‘Well I didn’t know that our sons were friends. Isn’t that nice?’ The Duke nodded and showed Lanoste to the room they were going to use.

Rood, Lidusis and Sic were out on the porch drinking tea when Sic noticed the faint trace of mana left in the air ‘What’s with this mana? Was someone fighting?’ Rood smiled and put his cup down ‘It was me; multiple demons seem to have been appearing out of nowhere lately.’ Sic looked at Rood in shock ‘What!? How there is a barrier around this estate?’ Rood sighed and looked at Lidusis ‘I don’t want to upset you but your brother was bringing them in here Lidusis, I heard him talking about it and I spotted him doing it a few times too.’ Lidusis looked out at the field ‘Well he did seem kind of suspicious the past few days.’ Rood nodded and took a sip of tea ‘Oh yea Sic, Chevel and Dio are coming over tomorrow so it will be way more interesting.’ Sic chuckled ‘Oh really?’ Sic then went on to telling Rood and Lidusis how his month had been so far, Van and Eruen were by the door of the porch watching Sic talk to Rood and Lidusis, Van was the most worried. Sic turned to Rood after noticing what he said ‘Wait YOU were fighting? I thought you had had a weak body and couldn’t fight?’ Rood looked at Sic and pulled out a mana stone ‘I used the mana from the stone to make a mana sword and kill them. It’s quite simple as it doesn’t take too much mana to make and the demons were all of low levels so it didn’t matter if it wasn’t that dense. I can’t just let demons kill us now can I?’ Sic smiled and took the stone off Rood ‘That’s smart of you, even a newbie at magic could do that. Well if any more show up I will just have to get rid of them.’ Rood smiled at Sic then at Lidusis as a maid walked out on the porch ‘Sir’s Sir Chevel Phon Hadelio has arrived.’ Lidusis nodded and left to fetch Chevel.
