Goblinweek 2020 Final Day - Erkling The Erkling... rarely does a goblin reaches this stage in their life. One who were born in the shadows returns to the shadow and become one with it. A goblin can lives as long as an erkling, so how old is an Erkling? Count the time of the water dripping from the ceiling of a cave to the floor below, and by the time they became connected one would have counted half the age of the youngest known Erkling.

Erkling: Erkling’s are elf-like creatures that are native to the Black Forest, which is in the southeastern region of Germany, and Bavaria, which is in the southwestern region of Germany. These creatures have green skin with yellow eyes. Additionally, Erkling’s have jagged faces and are capable of human speech. These creatures are known for luring children away from their families so they can devour them by using their high-pitched cackles. The average height of an Erkling is three feet. In addition, they enjoy shooting darts at innocent victims. During the 1994-1995 school year, Harry, Ron, and Hermione had to fight off these creatures during Barty Crouch Jr’s Defense Against the Dark Arts Class. Barty Crouch Jr. was disguised as Mad-Eye Moody, who he had kidnapped from his home. Newt Scamander declared that the last Erkling attack was on a six-year-old called Bruno Schmidt.

Wizards unite

Finished the (supposedly) last book in the Magnus Chase line. His face pretty much describes my feelings towards the novels as a whole. But, irregardless of how ambivalent I am towards much of the books, I was compelled enough to do this little warm-up drawing. This also may or may not have impacted the next daily monster, which was done directly after it.  

And that’s exactly what Erklings in Harry Potter do. They try to lure them away from their parents and later eat them. That’s where JK got the idea for the Erkling from and why it’s located in Germany.
