EridanWeek Day 2 - Ancestors
"I wwas having some trouble on my numerical logic homewwork..."
Eridan liked Grandpa Dualscar. The yelling maybe not so much, but Dualscar was rather nice, willing to help him with his less than advanced math skills and relationships. He always seemed to have an answer, if only because he'd lived so long. His brother Cronus had tried to be like that, before the cops came and swept him away to juive, but Dualscar said not to worry about such things. "YOUR BROTHER HAS MADE HIS COCOON. HE'LL BE A NEW TROLL WHEN HE GETS OUT." Grandpa Dualscar had apparently also been to Prison. It was were he earned his nickname for the dual scars like lightening that thundered through the stormy gray of his skin. Eridan had asked once how he'd recived the scars. "IN TIME ERIDAN. IN TIME." Was all he'd said back. And now, as they finished his math, Eridan wondered if now was the time. "Grandpa Dualscar?"
"I know I've asked before, and you told me to wwait, but I wwas wwondering how you got your scars?" It had been 6 years since Eridan had come to live with Dualscar. Never had he seen him like this. His eyes seemed to cloud over, the fog of horrible memories dilluating the bright violet of his iris. His mouth hung agape, as if the suprise of the attack still haunted him. His hands shook, his legs quivered, tears brimming on each eye. But, it was only a moment, and Dualscar quickly collected himself.
"NOT TODAY MY BOY. I NEED MORE TIME. SAY, I HEARD THE PIEXES OPENED A NEW BAKERY. YOU WANT TO CHECK IT OUT? THAT FEF GIRL YOU LIKE WILL BE THERE ~"
"Ew! Don't be wweird!" And off they went, Eridan never truly forgetting the way Dualscar looked, but enjoying their time anyway.
"Let go a'me ya freaks!" Cronus struggled against Kurloz's goons. Kurloz, who held a homemade shank sat across the room, much calmer than Cronus.
"STop." Kurloz, while not moving his lips, could be heard throughout the entire room.
"We'Re goINg to hAVE A joKe oFf."
