seems injuries are just a household thing now. abrupt wake up this morning to go sit with a housemate at the er. so much noise and craziness, but they will be ok. and i got to see an old coworker that i've dearly missed.
after finally getting to leave, i got home and had to compound the overstimulation to call my mother as promised. not in the best headspace, but i should be ok.
next big things happening, house meeting and a ton of cleaning. wish me luck.
maybe have 50mg seroquel, a valium and a shot of muscle relaxer and youll calm down
Time for er trip very upset and triggered but ya gotta do whatcha gotta do to not feel like an actual human asshole
Went to the ER yesterday because SUPPOSEDLY urgent care couldn't give me anything stronger than my migraine medication (I call BS, they gave my husband oxy for strep throat), anyway, the ER gave me Vicodin and these lidocaine patches that are amazing but I can only put one on every 12hours for 12hours. I finally slept last night because Vicodin makes you drowsy and also pain free, of course he wasn't joking when he said it wears off after like 5 hours and the pain woke me up so I had to take another dose because I didn't want to wake up at like 5am. But now today because I think the pain is less, and he told me to keep taking the upped dose of my migraine medication, which also makes me drowsy, I can't seem to stay awake. I'm hoping I'll actually be good to go back to work Thursday.
But what's crazy is, so I went to the ER and when I checked in she had me sit off to the side where there were only 3 seats because she didn't know if any kids were in the waiting room, totally makes sense and that's exactly what I did. Not even 10 minutes later this lady comes in, checks in, and has what looks like a 10 year son sit next to me and she sat on the other side, and she made what I think was her husband go sit somewhere else. There was no joke at least 10 seats available in the main area and no one else who was in the waiting area was wearing a mask that was clearly bought at a store and not provided by the hospital. I just can't fathom the thought process of why an adult wouldn't at least sit next to the clearly sick person, why would you make your child, especially when you don't know what the person has. In fact, why would you sit next to the person who's by themselves at all if there's other options, that's the person I avoid because there's a really good chance they're contagious. The ER at least got me in the back real quick after the kid sat next to me because I was CLEARLY still contagious and no one wants a chicken pox outbreak.

I wish I were more awake while writing this.
I had a brush with morality yesterday. It feels more dramatic than saying I spent the day in the ER worried about my husband. It wasn’t as severe as the initial idea of him having a heart attack (thank you, urgent care). Still, we don’t want to think about those we love as being vulnerable beings with a short time on this planet.
Now, I’m sitting here at work with writer’s guilt. I’m actually quite okay with where I am at professionally. I achieved my goals of both a BA and MA in English. I knew pay wouldn’t be good for said degrees. I thought I could be okay with being an adjunct. I suppose that’s what happens when you are an adult learner?
The path for the Ed.D. I’m considering will actually work with this. Of course, it’s getting things lined out to start the program first. And, it’s also re-taking the GRE.
Excuse me while I go sob uncontrollably in the corner...
Update on my life
December was wonderful! January was ok but mostly confusing, I got a new job in February!! But I live in constant fear that I don’t deserve this amazing job. In March, my fiancé and I moved into a massive town home and I turned 23! Wooo getting older and stuff! And now here I am.. I stepped on a carpenter staple Saturday night and went to the ER for a tetanus shot and it has just not been fun ever since. I go back to work on Friday so I’m really hoping they don’t hate me and stuff because I take so much time off 🙄 anyway, that’s my life update if anyone wanted to know! I’ve just been playing ESO and sleeping.

Missing genericon today because I went to the ER for severe stomach pain. I have a bladder infection and was dehydrated. Maybe I'll go tomorrow if I borrow one of Sher's shirts.
