Cat may not have been able to actually go into an OR but she was still hoping to work, mainly using the opportunity to get ahead of the never ending ( or at least that’s the way it felt) charts and paperwork she could make her way through. She was so caught up in her work that she had been somewhat unaware of what was going on around her.

there is a grin a mile wide stretched across porcelain features. she may have made an idiot out of herself at the last medical conference they attended together, but this time the ache of her recent breakup is being dulled by watching a gaggle of women doctors flirting relentlessly with jake. they haven't left him alone since attending his lecture, and he's too polite to put a stop to it. mind you, the reason it's funny and not cringe - worthy is that the women are obviously nearing retirement age. as one of them murmurs something to her friend, she tries to hide her amused expression behind her coffee cup, but he's caught her red - handed. " what? i'm not laughing. "

After the discovery of the others, there was still so much that the main group kept Claire in the dark about for the most part. At least until it was relevant for her to know the exact details of what was going on— but honestly, she preferred living in ignorant bliss with Aaron unless it involved his safety. “Jack's not around right now.” It was strange trusting this stranger, but alas, everyone on this island were strangers to one another at one point in time. What mattered the most was that Aaron needed her help. “Do you think you could– that you could take a look at Aaron for me, please? He's been fussy all morning and...” Her words trail off as her eyes locked with Juliet's, pleading like any sane mother would.
