Clash of Titans!!
WHAT. A. CHAPTER. Escanor vs Estarossa promised to be an epic battle when they first saw each other and hell it is.But first we have a scene with fleeing people who are suddenly worshipping Zeldris (I bet @lostvayne wanted to join them right away) as he is the commandment of āpietyā. Which also means that the two commandments the demon king (apparently his name is Proxy) said had some kind of effect on Meliodas last chapter are from Estarossa and Zeldris. Itās a nice commandment, creating new subjects by scaring them and making them turn their backs to him would be a piece of cake. With an effect like that itās no wonder he thinks overthrowing a kingdom should be easy. Well, Fraudrin had his circumstances tooā¦ He was alone, he doesnāt have a convenient power like Zeldris, heād have to deal with Meliodas AND all the other sins. I bet he was about to defend his honor by saying even between the humans thereās still Escanor, but before he could Escanor presented himself already. Escanor and Estarossa facing off looks as epic as in the last chapter and FINALLY after some more talking (I LOVED that little conversation when Escanor warned him to not get angry and Estarossa is surprised at first, then smiles (goddamn, thatās so Melās smile, shit, I love itā¦) and Escanor smiles and then they start beating the shit out of each other) the fight begins - ālightā attacks at first and it looks as if Escanor is losing after all but that didnāt impress him at all. But of course Escanor wouldnāt get beaten that easily, itās Escanor weāre talking about after all! They seem pretty much evenly matched which makes it all the more interesting. Estarossa underestimated him and at the same time Escanor with his pride is underestimating Estarossa too and ARGH, itās so good! Estarossa is starting to get serious then and pulls a short sword out ofā¦ himself? āSaha, the corporeal worldā, I feel as if that world will play a bigger role now that it was mentionedā¦ as everything thatās mentioned is---Ā So itās something likeā¦ a parallel universe he can store stuff in? Is it his own unique ability or do others have access to that world too?The scene that follows has exactly the same feel to it as the scene in the fight against Twigo in the first chapter. You didnāt see it coming. The enemy attacked and it seemed as if it hit but then AFTER the hit they swing their sword down and the attack strikes the attacker instead. When Estarossa pulled out that sword it had a small resemblance to Meliodasā sword since theyāre both rather short and I thought āNo, it canāt beāā¦ But it happenedā¦ Estarossa actually has the same ability as Meliodas, āFull Counterā, with a small difference. Meliodas can redirect only purely magical attacks directed at him, while he canāt do anything against physical attacksā¦ Estarossa can redirect physical attacks and while we donāt have the confirmation that he canāt redirect magical attacks thatās very likely. He also said himself that he can repel physical attacks and Iām just gonna assume he meant ONLY those. But with them both having the same abilityā¦ Are they really just brothers? Are they twins and thatās why theyāre so similar? Or is there some deeper connection? I mean itās almost likeā¦ if Estarossa and Meliodas somehow fused they would be able to repel ANY attack, magical OR physicalā¦ Is that a coincidence? That really somehow feels as if they were at least supposed to be the same person. Though twins would have that feel to them too... Ā I donāt knowā¦Escanorās reaction though, GODLY XD I laughed so hard, heās hilarious! Heās not fazed at all, just like āWell, of course it hurts, it was my attack after allā. Even Estarossa canāt hold himself. They make an awesome battle duo. It kinda makes me want to see how a fight where both of them are fighting together not against each other would play outā¦ Theyād make an awesome combo. AND THE BATTLE CONTINUES. This really looks like the battle of the century, both of them know no bounds. I want to see how it ends but I donāt want it to end. THIS is how you write epic battles.And Iām falling in love with Estarossa more and moreā¦ Please donāt let it end too fast...
