Sorry jay but you gotta do all of them (that you want) for Benny and Indigo because I’m obsessed with them and I’m sure other people will give Felix good questions so I gotta pamper the other lads
you're a monster (affectionate) 💕 I already answered a handful for Indigo and I'm gonna skip any with where I haven't come up with enough of the relevant Lore to have them give an answer haha but heeeere we go:
02: Who did you last say “I love you” to?
Benny: ... my brother. My brother Leo.
03: Do you regret anything?
Benny: [haunted] I d... I don't want to talk about it.... but I shouldn't have-- I-- I wish I-- h-hah, gods, where do I even start. I... yes. Yeah. I... regret some stuff. I don't wanna talk about it. Please.
Indigo: ... regret is a waste of energy. We make not mistakes, but lessons: everything moves forward, and so must we.
04: Are you insecure?
Benny: Wh-- y-- I mean no, of course not, haha, no? [clears throat] No,
05: What is your relationship status?
Benny: Single... I mean, not that I've been looking or anything, you know? Like I'm not striking out just, uh, not really getting out there-- I mean! Kinda just focusing on me right now I guess, you know?
Indigo: Hah, why, who's interested? Free as a bird. A point of light in a field of stars. I suppose a different sort of fellow might say 'married to the sea,' but I'd hate to break her heart.
06: How do you want to die?
Benny: I don't?? I mean-- look I know everyone's gotta, I just-- I haven't really thought about it? I can think of a lot of ways I don't wanna die. Gods uh. Really old and safe and happy I guess??
Indigo: Oohh in the midst of some sort of shennanigannery or bit of derring-do, I'm sure. If one cannot die old, one must to hope to at least die interesting, as they say. But... not for awhile yet, if fate may yet be turned toward my favor. ... and preferably not an encore performance.
07: What did you last eat?
Benny: I had to eat some trail rations on the road because I wanted to press on as fast as possible to make it to an inn in Daggerford before it got dark. Now that you mention it, I'm actually a little hungry... I was really looking forward to a good hot dinner...
Indigo: Perhaps among the finest soups I've ever enjoyed, as a matter of fact-- with a side of pillaged bread, of course.
08: Played any sports?
Benny: Oh, yeah, sometimes! Uh, I guess I'd say I'm just okay at jousting, but I like the horses. I'm pretty bad at archery though, haha. Oh, and there's this great ball game we used to play all the time where you-- [he goes on to excitedly explain the premise of some sort of Medieval Kickball]
Indigo: It's the sort of thing that's more fun to watch than to do, I find. I'm not particularly competitive.
09: Do you bite your nails?
Benny: Uh, no, not too often anyway. Sometimes a little, I guess. I used to all the time as a little kid though-- really bad actually. I'm glad I grew out of it. Kids that sucked their thumbs got picked on but at least their hands weren't bleeding, you know?
Indigo: Absolutely not.
10: When was your last physical fight?
Benny: Had to chase off a couple of wolves on one of the rougher roads a few days ago. I guess they figured I was some kind of straggler they could pick off :\
Indigo: Hah! Well, define physical! I'm rather more stardust than substance these days, although it doesn't really feel that way. Regardless, it was either quite recent or extremely recent, whichever way you like to slice it.
12: Have you ever stayed up 48 hours?
Benny: ... a few times recently. Maybe more than a few times. I was... trying to research something. But I didn't even really get anywhere.
Indigo: Oh, sure. Who hasn't? It's ill-advised, of course. I don't think I've managed it more than once or twice-- hah, once was just to see how long I could go without sleep, as a matter of fact. Quite a long time, as it happens! I ended up literally collapsing. [fondly] Stupid.
13: Do you hate anyone at the moment?
Benny: [very seriously] Yeah. Yeah, I do.
14: Do you miss someone?
Benny: [very softly] ... yeah. Yeah, I do.
Indigo: ... I....... Well. There are people I'd like to see again. Let that be whatever it is.
15: Have any pets?
Benny: I used to have a dog, but-- he died a couple years ago. It's okay, he was pretty old, but I'm still kinda between pets right now, I guess.
Indigo: Ah, no-- it doesn't interest me. Little creatures are all well and good, but I can enjoy them perfectly well apart from myself.
16: How exactly are you feeling at the moment?
Benny: [just gives you a harrowed look] [is Right, in this Exact Moment in canon, in the very middle of Death House]
Indigo: ..........
17: Ever made out in the bathroom?
Benny: N-no--?? [flustered, lying badly]
Indigo: [bemused] If you had seen the kinds of bathrooms one finds in the port taverns frequented by pirates you likely wouldn't need to ask. I've made out nearly anywhere else you might think of, though.
18: Are you scared of spiders?
Benny: Oh! No, I actually think they're really neat!
Indigo: Well no, of course not. Although of course you've got to watch out for wild ones if you go wandering the deeper and less-well-trod tunnels.
19: Would you go back in time if you were given the chance?
Benny: Yes. Gods. Yes, I'd give-- I'd give anything to go back and change things.
Indigo: ... no. We can only live in the moment we're given, and move forward. Although! If I could travel time as a mere observer, I think that would be really exciting.
20: Where was the last place you snogged someone?
Benny: The b-- w uh I don't remember,,
Indigo: Ah-- it was in the crow's nest of our own beloved Kraken's Bane. We're not always in port long enough to bring guests aboard for private tours, but romantic interludes always go particularly well when I can show them the stars.
21: What are your plans for this weekend?
Benny: [harrowed] If we... survive to the weekend..... actually I think if I can, I'd. Like another look at the books in that hidden alcove. Maybe I can make some real progress on researching curses, if... I can stomach it right now, I guess.
Indigo: [softly, with intensity] When I'm back in a world that's real enough for weekends, I'm going to spend the next week looking at the stars. And, when the stars are not out, drinking with my friends to my own very good health.
22: Do you want to have kids? How many?
Benny: Yeah, I... always kinda thought it'd be nice to have a little family. I think two kids would be... would be perfect.
Indigo: Hah! No, not at all. But I'm not one to close my heart to any possible destinies-- perhaps try asking again in a handful of centuries.
23: Do you have piercings? How many?
Benny: No...?
Indigo: Obviously? I've got nine, as a matter of fact, although I rarely wear more than two pieces per ear outside of special occasions.
27: Have you ever broken someone’s heart?
Benny: Hah, I'm... not exactly the heartbreaker in any relationship.
Indigo: Maybe! I suppose I wouldn't be surprised at all if I had. Easy come and easy go.
31: Does somebody love you?
Benny: [harrowed look] My... my brother.
Indigo: [gazes into the middle distance]
32: What is your favourite color?
Benny: Blue!
Indigo: Blue :)
33: Do you have trust issues?
Benny: Oh, no, I think I'm pretty trusting.
Indigo: Hah, no, not at all. I'm pretty well practiced in putting only as much trust in something or someone as could reasonably be called for.
34: Who/what was your last dream about?
Benny: My... my brother. Leo.
Indigo: [softly] ... the stars. I saw the stars.
35: Who was the last person you cried in front of?
Benny: [wincing] I-- tried not to but-- I think Buddy and Edel might have seen...
Indigo: [gazing hollowly into the middle distance] [doesn't answer] [is Right, in this Exact Moment in canon, literally tear streaked and shaken, in front of everybody]
36: Do you give out second chances too easily?
Benny: Too-- too easily? I don't know about that. I don't think so? I like to believe people deserve second chances.
Indigo: I give them out as they seem warranted. I am not, as I said, inclined to hold grudges, but I'm not a fool either.
37: Is it easier to forgive or forget?
Benny: ... I don't know. I guess they're both pretty hard. Maybe it's easier to forget...
38: Is this year the best year of your life?
Benny: [harrowed]
Indigo: [extremely strained smile]
40: Have you ever walked outside completely naked?
Benny: NO????
Indigo: Of course; there are hot springs where I grew up. Rarely much cause for it otherwise, but I've gotten naked outside, if the crow's nest counts.
52: Do you believe everything happens for a reason?
Benny: I... I'm not sure. I hope... I think I hope not. But I think... some things do? If that makes sense? Big things. Important things...
Indigo: Now that is an interesting question! What people don't understand about-- ah, for the sake of the conversation, let's call it fate-- is that it isn't prescriptive, but merely a probability of complex patterns. It’s not that everything happens for a reason, but rather that everything that happens has inherent purpose by virtue of having happened; everything is connected to everything else, and thus causes and effects ripple out from everything that ever happens, no matter how seemingly insignificant-- bumping and tugging and influencing effects in countless inconceivable ways, on countless other things. What greater reason could anything hope to have? The tremendous miracle of all of reality is that purpose is created by existence-- and existence creates itself, ad infinitum, onward ceaselessly into the slow unspiraling of all things! When I say that destiny has brought us together, or to this moment, or anything else, I don't mean that we never had a choice-- gods but what fiendish hell that would be! No-- we were brought here by ripples, by echoes, by nudges, fractal patterns more complex and beautiful than you could possibly imagine-- a single brilliant through-line of what is through an infinite galaxy of what could have ever been. If It Is, then it was simply self-evidently meant to be.
53: What is the last thing you did before you went to bed last night?
Benny: Well I was between cities, so I was camping off the trade way-- so I guess the very last thing I did was pray, and put my fire out.
Indigo: I ate some... very unusual honey. Made sure my old crew were getting along all right without me while I'm-- away. And looked at the stars.
54: Is cheating ever okay?
Benny: No, of course not? Oh-- wait do you mean like. In games or...? Well I mean actually still no I guess, so
Indigo: Cheating is a game of its own, as anyone knows who is any fun at all.
55: Are you mean?
Benny: No 🥺
Indigo: [cheshire cat grin] Well not as a rule.
56: How many people have you fist fought?
Benny: I... don't remember... kind of a lot, I guess. Well, Leo and me together. ...Well, mostly Leo. Not a lot of that these days though!
Indigo: Well I've had a handful of people trying to fistfight me, but it isn't my strong suit-- I've been punched a fair few times, but I'd rather spirit myself away or respond with my own preferred methods than throw my fists around. [bemused] You have seen the size of my fists, haven't you?
57: Do you believe in true love?
Benny: Yes 🥺
Indigo: True love is akin to destiny. What truer love can there be than that which you embody in the precious, vital present? All love must be True, if it is going to be worth a damn at all.
58: Favourite weather?
Benny: I really love a mild summer day-- sunny, a few clouds, nice blue sky, maybe a little breeze. You know, the kind of weather you might say 'wow, what beautiful weather! Perfect for a picnic!'
Indigo: Cloudless. And balmy, but with a cool night breeze.
59: Do you like the snow?
Benny: It's pretty! I guess I don't hate it, but I prefer warmer weather
60: Do you wanna get married?
Benny: I'd really love to... if I ever met someone who'd be willing to share their life with me like that, I know I'd really love being someone's husband.
Indigo: No, no, never. I don't really see any point in it. Even if I were in any other way the 'marrying type,' anything I could want do with another person we could do without having to do a lot of bull shit notarized paperwork somewhere first.
62: What makes you happy?
Benny: Dogs, good books, hot drinks when you come inside from the cold, being helpful or-- getting told I did a good job, getting to hang out with my brother
Indigo: The stars, of course. Following whims. Telling good stories, or hearing them. Seeing someone's playful side. Getting to witness something weird and unique. Knowing secrets :)
63: Would you change your name?
Benny: I mean... I guess I've thought about it. Benny's not a very cool name, you know? Benicio's pretty good I guess, but nobody ever calls me that. Maybe people would treat me different if I had a cooler name-- but, I dunno, maybe I wouldn't be able to live up to it. On the other hand, Benny feels... friendly and familiar to me? I've been Benny my whole life. Guess it'd be a little weird to change it now, either way.
Indigo: Hah! Which one? No, no, of course not. The nice thing about not being so weird and fussy about having 'too many names' is that I can have as many as I like, shuffle them about at will, and discard any that don't bring me any joy. I might change my name as one changes a shirt, if I were so inclined. It is just simply not that big of a deal.
64: Would it be hard to kiss the last person you kissed?
Benny: [face in his hands] yes,,
Indigo: Hm :) Well. Logistically, rather, yes. He's in Port Lorium, I assume, and I'm either incorporeal or... well, indisposed, depending on one's perspective. But he was quite easy to kiss at the time.
66: Do you have a friend of the opposite sex who you can act your complete self around?
Benny: I don't really have any friends I can act my complete self around, aside from Leo...
Indigo: [bemused] I am exactly as much of my 'complete self' as I want to be around anyone at all. What on earth could sex have to do with it?
68: Who’s the last person you had a deep conversation with?
Benny: I don't remember when the last time was, but it would have been with Leo. I can't really talk like that with anyone else.
Indigo: Well. Define 'deep conversation.' I've had a lot of very unusual conversations recently that all flirt about topics like mortality and fate, but none of them have delved very deep yet. Conversation aboard the Barken Bow do turn semi-regularly to the philosophical-- hard to avoid with a pack of gnomes stuck on a boat together, of course-- but I think the most recent may have been a discussion on the nature of fate with that fellow in the crow's nest, who was marvelously insightful in addition to several other very charming talents.
69: Do you believe in soulmates?
Benny: I'm not sure. I do think the idea is kinda romantic, though...
Indigo: Ah, no, of course not. At least-- no more than any living soul is mated in some way with every other, indelibly joined in the commonality of divine vitality across all of time and space...
Saleos: …7 or 8, honestly, he doesn’t like talking about himself in real ways. I’m not gonna quote him because he wouldn’t even know how to phrase it, but: he hates the idea that all the things he’s got for himself will stop holding meaning. He’s scared, if you wanna call it that, of forgetting to feel anything at all.
Fionn: 2, easy. She’s an open book.
“All the time. Coulda saved friends, coulda kept my sister healthy. But I think I’ve managed pretty okay as it is. Just gotta keep moving forwards.”
I love Vicky but she already got a lot of asks and I wanna spread the love around
YAAAAY, bless you, you're an angel, Cass does need love lol
💗 - which relationship in your character's life is the healthiest?
Charlie: well I was literally just talking to you about this but I think for Charlie it's his older sister Aine. She's one of his biggest support systems especially in regards to his magic, and she treats him like a person and not like a ticking time bomb, which is nice :)
Cass: I'm going with the Call of Cthulu version of Cass for this because the answer is the funniest. For context, Cass is a streetwalker in this game. Her healthiest relationship is with one of her clients, a kind older Jewish man who owns and operates an obscure bookstore. They do not fuck. They play chess, she cooks for him, they talk. Between seasons of the campaign, she moved in with him after a cult broke into her apartment, so now that she lives there she runs errands for him on Saturdays and does all the stuff that he can't do on that day. They have a mutually beneficial friendship and it's honestly just, really sweet? But she probably will have to move soon otherwise she's gonna get him killed!
☀ - what makes your character the happiest?
Charlie: Being with the group at Alice's house, honestly. He feels at home there, with everyone, and he feels wanted and safe and warm and it doesn't even matter what they're doing, they don't even have to be conversing. He just loves them all so much.
Cass: COOKING. Easy answer, that's her favorite thing in the world and she loves getting to feed people with the food she's made.
👀 - what is the first thing stranger's would notice about your character?
Well they're both redheads, so I imagine that's probably one of the most prominent features for them both. After THAT though:
Charlie: The excessive amount of rings he wears all the time lmao
Cass: I'm gonna objectify my girl here for a second. She's got a nice rack, and it's usually pretty on display (as much as she can get away with in the 1930s at least lol). She's confident in her body, she knows she's attractive, and she's got money to make and men to manipulate.
