Where we throw canon out of the window more than ususal and switch the alignment of our ship

(17 is canon so we are not counting that one, and I will only count half a point for numbers 1 and 19 because that’s practically canon too)

I’ll keep count of everyone who brings a fanart, fanfic, headcanon, writes a minific in the askbox, sends a doodle... anything goes as long as the entities are switched and Gerrymichael happens. You can comment directly on this post or send an ask.

I had a well-thought answer and tumblr glitched on me and deleted it. Anyway. Michael&Gertrude seem like Martin/Jon’s foil. So lonely seems fitting.

Gertrude would absolutely notice one of her pieces falling into the lonely, the point is, would she care? (No, of course not)

Gerry, on the other hand, who cares about a stranger while he is on vacation, would care so much. He might be annoyed at finding yet another avatar in the archives, but once he sees Michael is not doing it on purpose? Once he learns Gertrude let him get lost in the Lonely? He’d go ballistic.

(Do you want angst? Because it is entirely possible that saving Michael from the lonely doesn’t matter at all, because then the spiral gets him anyway. Imagine Gerry, going up and down in the deck of the Tundra on their way to sannikov land, keeping the fog from getting to them, and then... OR the opposite! Gerry saving Michael from the spiral only to lose him in the trip back in the Tundra :-()

End of angst because I also find it super funny, having a notice-me-not stuck to them. Consider it a Simon Farchild approach to your entity. Michel becomes the Archives Poltergeist. Since nobody cares he is there, he can wear outrageous outfits! sequins! Fishnet Fridays! A little arson! Spy! Get where you are not meant to be! Shenanigans! Stealing! Going from victim to avatar status! Owning your fear! (I mean, he may have a breakdown later because nothing he did really made him feel seen, but you get the attitude)
