actually I think it was in The Gemini Agent. that was the one where Jim was sort of being controlled and he tried to drown Chekov in his dorm room like NO BIGGIE the kid just almost died bc the fucking school couldn't get him out of his room and he had to hack into the door mechanism but yeah he and Jim got over it and bonded and talked about girls and they had a thing where Chekov called him CAPTAIN and UGH FUCKING CUTIES
