WiP - New Face up for Kanda

As I have improved over the past months I am slowly repainting some of the dark haired dolls as I learned how to do dark eyebrows.

After scrubbing him clean I build up the blushing, his blush in before was super basic, this time I worked with green, blue, brown and of course black and even red to build up everything.

As you can see the progress for him went fast, even with the brush not cooperating for a while. I am very satisfied how he turned out.

He's much more detailed and cohesive with the other ones now.

Samu is the Alternative Version of Samuel, in a reality his (Step) Mother actually cared for him, in which he was corrupted by her. But then she started to doubt his loyality... she ruined his beautiful face with a curse. Ever since he barely speaks ... but she doesn't know he is plotting something beyond her imagination.

Kanda.

... i can't believe he is done. It took forever until i got all parts but sewing for him went so quick and aside from the pants that I needed to redo there were basically no issues? No sueding, no mental breakdown, body is wonderful to pose/handle, the head is fitting and I am so so proud how he came out!

Actually I think out of the 4 Exorcists (Lenalee, Lavi, Kanda, Bookman) he is by far my favorite. So proud that he gets the weekly feature right away.

WiP - Kanda Yuu - Last Part

Okay, up to the face up and Tattoo. I switched the parts around that I was able to work on one while the other had the sealant drying. But for lesser confusion I will try to put them in an order.

Blush & Tattoo work in progress

Face up and color match, the head is more yellow in resin than the body is, I added a bit (read: way too much) pink into the head's blushing to match it.

Before and after. The angle from the first is helping to make it look nice but the linework is surely better now, the lips are less smudged and he looks nice next to Allen.

He came out a bit too soft/sad though, but okay.

WiP - Kanda Yuu - Part 2

On the first day of working on Kanda I only added the sleeves after adding all the details and decided to call it a day.

So we will continue with day 2 of working on Kanda here.

Let's continue with sewing. First adding the lining, I ironed it afterwards because ....

The part that scares me the most was up. You maybe remember that with Lenalee it took me 2 full days just to figure that out.

But I can gladly tell... it was managable this time. You can tell I have gained expierence and have better material. Lenalee, your coat will be redone once I am in the mood for it.

Next up: tons of details that needed to be done by hand!

The belt, buttons, seam closure etc.

But so far sewing is done, hurray! It took me another half day, even if it doesn't seem much because ...

Up onto the Face up & Tattoo next =) which I did inbetween, because I needed a break from sewing. When you do all at once it takes longer for the different parts to be done. But i needed that switch-around.
