Travel Blog - Dokomi 2026 - Saturday or: Where did the time go

Second day of Dokomi started with me going to a local store to aquire a lunchbox replacement to not throw my food into the bag at random.

After that I got to the parking lot again and asked the staff if there was a bag found. And there was INDEED a bag found, the called the staff member who did find it and ... turned out it was just a small bag and already given back to the owner.

So well I did ready for the Con, put make up on and painted the curse the wrong side and was just trying to keep myself somewhat grounded.

I was already on my way as I noticed I didn't put on the boots and had to return to the car another time. So forgetfulness was a theme for me this weekend. But to spoil it: it luckily got better.

As I was in I went to the big lost & found and there wasn't my bag either. I checked several times even shortly before I got back to the car and still nothing. They told me to come back tomorrow as they collect everything from the different info points in the evenings. So little hope left but not much.

I then decided to rebuy at least the D.Gray-man things and asked the artist I had a huge preorder from if anyone got back to them as they shared the post but sadly none so far.

Luckily Faber Castell had a booth there too and I got a new drawing pad that I could draw a bit at least. After I got my DGM stuff I even found some fellow cosplayers!

And decided to finish what I didn't manage to finish of the artist alley that day, I was a bit miffed and wasn't sure if I wanted to invest more money but I told myself I would be sad when i dwell on the lost things and decide against buying new things. As I had been looking forward to just have a fun time in the alley.

As the Hall 3 was done for me I went to Hall 1 and got through the vendors there, more roughly than anything as there were so many booths and a lot of figures and the music in there was really giving me a hard time. As my earphones are in the lost bag there was nothing I could do about it.

Other than getting myself the daily Bubble Tea.

I then went outside into the park for a stroll, I knew some of my friends would be there but I wasn't in the mood for "hunting" down people I would be either come across them or would not meet them.

As said the bag just tainted everything a bit and I wasn't fully through with my last episode either.

A big shout out to the people who recognized me as Allen and gave me very nice feedback and also to my friends who were in for a chat. And I learned I wasn't the only one with a mental breakdown this weekend :')

I decided to go back inside afterwards as I also got told there was another artist with D.Gray-man stuff and went to them (first I confused the halls and was like huh were is the booth?), I actually went by the booth earlier and it was just so crowded I didn't see and missed the Allen Keychain sadly but got some nice stickers and a print. And explored the rest of hall 1 in before.

After that I went backt o Hall 4 that I started exploring it further (sorry if the photos are in weird order it's just me confusing things but better than overall forgetting everything).

And wrote with someone from the anniversary Discord to meet up later on.

As I was done with Hall 4 I went to the giant food court and got myself the first food after breakfast which was a frozen Yogurt.

While I was waiting I got approached by someone who turned out to be a member of our former local bjd board and it was so SO nice to have a face to you now. I hope you had a great weekend :) and tell me your tumblr handle.

Then I headed to the meet up point and actually ran into a friend and we took some photos and had a little chat. The Meetup was mainly me showing them the artists who had DGM Stuff and we parted after that as we both needed some food.

I got myself a rice bowl (oh wow yes I can eat something else than oats and bubble tea OTL) and sat down with my friends who I know from the HanaCon for a bit <3

It was super late already and after checking the Lost & Found for a last time I only got myself a soft serve Macha Ice Cream Cone and went back to the car.

To be honest I walked around the car several times to check if I didn't forget a thing this time and nothing was forgotten x_x

For day 3 I aim to at least try to check the missing halls, but I might skip on the Seijin hall as I felt incredible uncomfortable in it last year. Plus I have to travel back and I feel like time will be running fast again.

Travel Blog - Dokomi 2026 - Friday or: Forgotten & Lost

Maybe you saw my post about my lost bag I will come to that later on, maybe it has been found after i started writing this entry I will see.

The Friday started at home for me, I still had to pack a few things and as I went on the Road i had to take a turn because I forgot my Lero (yes, that's a theme for this day).

The drive was.. tiring and as I finally arrived and put myself into the costume I was already melting because we had 31°C. I was almost at the hall as I noticed... I forgot my staff in the car. So back to the car I went.

As I was finally inside after walking like 10k alone from the car and through the queue I got myself a bubble tea and went right ahead into the artist alley.

After a short time my ears started to act up and I had to sit down to eat something.. it got a bit better then and my ears were fine after like 30 minutes I have no idea I think the whole day was too much (plus I am getting down from some meds and maybe that was an overall issue that day).

And that was were I stayed almost the whole day, buying merch here and there and even finding some D.Gray-man goods.

And a cute Witch Hat Stamp rally that seemed to be doable!

Shopping continued... and I was found by friends and found another DGM Cosplayer

In the end I didn't finish the artist alley and only picked up an order to head out to get some more DGM Stuff. But I got the stamp rally completed.

Before that I found even more friends!

It was already late around that time I got .. another Bubble Tea and headed to the car, checking my wig how it survived and aside from the inside it did good.

Well then I went to the hotel and as I wanted to unload the car I noticed... i didn't put my messenger bag into the car.

I just threw my stuff into the hotel and went back to the parking lot and of course it was not there anymore. Having a mental breakdown in the car about it and yeah .. i mean at least my money and phone were in different bags but almost all my purchases, my drawing supplies (including my dgm fountain pens), my giveaway prints, my Lunchbox, my drinking bottle, my LERO were in the bag.

From everything I got at the artist alley this was all what I had left as I put it into another bag.

I am waiting for a reply from the support and will ask at the lost & found today hoping it's there. I have a cooler bag to take as replacement today and have another bottle for water but no box for my food so I guess today i will have mushed crackers and apple, as I can't see myself to carry the tomatoes loose in that bag.

And most likely will try to buy some things again :( sigh.

WiP - Allen's Animate Special Card Design (Spring 26) - Timcampy Slippers

Now for the main item - the reason I overall wanted to make this outfit: THE SLIPPERS!

I really saw the outfit and fell for the slippers, luckily I got a crafting sole in a local store and everything else I already had at home. Is this the first time for me making slippers? Yes.

Well I made doll ones but that was like 2 seams and done :')

First of all after getting the soles I made some pattern. As mentioned I made doll slippers and shoes in before therefore I just trusted myself here that I somehow was able to create something that resembled slippers.

I tested the base of the slippers around the sole (and I should have tested both ... as I needed to correct that later on) and moved forward then.

I decided to do all machine parts first, which means attaching the puzzle the pattern were together and make the little wings.

After that I stuffed the pieces and made the overall base of the slippers. Then it took me quite long to attach them to the soles even if it was a kit for crafting, to stitch through the fabric was hard.

ofc i had to test them, they were crooked though, i decided to ignore that for now

I wasn't sure how to make the crossed I just opted to to the same as for my last Timcampy plushy and it worked, but the glue ate a bit of the fabric's color?? I have no idea but it's okay.

Adjusting as they were too crooked as I wanted to attach the crosses. I also had a weird bulge in one base stripe that I tried to correct as well. I am glad I didn't resew the whole sole but just went to redo a small part and actually removed the top to adjust that because that was easier on my hands than correcting the sole.

Back home from Dokomi!

My bag is still lost and I doubt it gets found but I want to thank everyone for the reblogs and shares across all platforms. My feet are bruised and I am glad I have tomorrow off.

Today was the best day of the whole convention and I enjoyed every second, i really REALLY needed this, so SO much!

I rebought the majority of things I lost due my bag getting lost, ofc i didn't come to recollect the stamps for the stamp rally and my price is truly lost and the big order from a friend is also gone and I guess I will have to throw more money at them for replacing what I lost.

Overall I am just glad I didn't have THAT important pieces in my bag, i mean, yeah my purchases, my fountain pens, Lero ... but almost everything can be replaced. It would have been different with my car's papers, my camera or the watercolors x_X

My parents already said they will gift me a new bag as it's still up for sale.

Happy 22nd Anniversary to D.Gray-man! & Happy 20 year Anniversary to me

20 years ago I began to dive into D.Gray-man, I was about Allen's age at that time and the publisher releasing the series was fairly new. It was pushed a lot, they also were the only one ever inviting Hoshino to a Convention (forever sad they started lottery tickets back then and my friends weren't able to get me an autograph).

The hype was real. I actively followed the series up to chapter 221. But then kinda lost the trail in regards of releases, stumbled upon Volumes when they got published here... the publisher hid them very well over the years, now you really have to dig to find them.

I took a very long general break from Fandoms, I went big into Tokyo Ghoul but other than that stopped cosplay, stopped drawing fanart entirely .... until the pandemic hit. Until I rediscovered my love for the series in 2021 and haven't stopped rereading it over and over again, it sparked my love for art, for crafts, for cosplay, even my long lost love for writing came back. I met more amazing people than I can count.

I am deeply grateful for everthing this series became for me. I hope we will learn how the story will end.

Versengold - Eingenordet Tour (11/04/26)

It has been some time since my last attended concert and I have to admit I only have tickets for two this year as a lot of events are at the same time once again. The other concert will be in October.

But here are some impressions from the latest one.

I literally forgot my bag in the parking lot and as i returned later it was gone (i put down the bag nrxt to the car and failed to realize it was not IN the car). I'm looking for a brown messenger bag with several very personal items like my lunch box with a circus mouse and "Mana" written in it, also 90% of my artist alley purchases.

In the lunch box there is still thst one pack of korean crackers, my in earphones are in the bag too and my drawing supplies.

FINAL Dokomi LINE UP!

Due the heat I changed my plans a bit I will wear pastLavi in his formal Bookman Attire today instead of kid Allen as he has less layers and I need my glasses today, I just know it.

Small head's up before the Dokomi I just got this silly vid from HanaCon. We were asked which character could take over the series.

WiP - Allen's Animate Special Card Design (Spring 26) - Jacket

I have to admit I soley started making this outfit because I love the slippers so darn much and I wanted to take photos with them. Therefore the full outfit has to be made, right? I can't just only make the slippers.

I made the pattern the day prior by tracing a hoodie, in hindsight i think I should have invested more time into the pattern but I was in a bad mental place as I started the jacket and done was better than perfect.

The next day I started with drawing and preparing the fabrics. The hood was sewn first the sleeves followed after that.

Before I put together the main pieces I added the pockets.. I am still learning how to do them and the floofy fabric wasn't exactly easy to work with, but as a lot would be covered later on I accepted the imperfection once more.

After the pockets were done I started to put together the main body, I made several fitting tests after adding every piece in but the first one is always the most important. Especially to test the pockets.

As said I went on, the hood and the sleeves were added. The last machine part after the edges were to add button holes.

Here we have another fitting test with a somewhat nice looking jacket already. I wish I had made the hood a big bigger as I like big hoods, but well that's my personal preferences once again.

After that the details by hand were left.

As mentioned before this wasn't a good day to work, I felt how I had no fun doing this, it wasn't hard or annoying or something like that. i just had that empty hole in my brain. So progress was progress to keep my occupied.

And that's the jacket. The closure isn't centered I am still not sure if I like that or not but considering this is just for 1-2 photoshootings I would say it's fine.

Boxopening - Black Ship Oil Painting Body (1/4) (Joe)

My second boxopening today is... my Oil Painting body! I am not even sure if I announced it but this will be the body for my doll of Joe. I had considered shelling her as a doll last year already but the head I got back then was turned intot he one for Maria. Therefore we go with the second attempt. I needed this body for her as she's an older mature woman and needs curves.

The box, the certificate and everything is a work of art in general. It was an expierence to unbox this.

Also the neck donut is a big fat seal.

Boxopening - Doll Chateau Kid Body (Vox)

Just as fyi: this parcel was once again another fight with UPS but I finally one. The custom fees did hurt but well I finally have the missing part for my Vox doll. If you can't recall it: Vox is my 2nd selfmade head and I am very looking forward to complete his doll version.

So yeah our favorite TV head was a solo screen for the longest time, finally he is a full person again.

It's the same base body I got for Alastor in 2019.

Kudos to Alu for having such great ideas for angles, he just knew what would fit <3

I really loved to wear a child variant of Allen that was not Red, him slowly gathering hope during traveling with Cross, learning he is not completely worthless but can help souls.
