Oh boy let me tell you: the whole process must’ve taken roughly 2  hours. (at least one)

We started on the server in front of ToE, asking both Cerulean and Crimson faction chat for any soul fighters. After awhile I put it in party finder, and one friend was even asking in region chat if there was just ONE soul fighter out there. That same friend soon had the brilliant idea of “Oh yeah the cross server exists” With new hope and optimism we blasted off into the void that is the cross server lobby.

We waited

for so long

and nothing. No one.

Eventually someone did apply. We all lit up. How exciting, we got our fourth member!

No.

This applicant was a gunslinger.

Alright..that’s fine..perhaps they didn’t understand. Perhaps the clicked the wrong dungeon link.

Kick, try again.

More time passes. Someone applies. Another gunner. Kick, try again.

LFP message reads: SOULFIGHTER ONLY! 4 of a kind achievement 3/4

why are these other classes applying?

as time passes we pick up two separate  blade masters, and later 2 force masters at once.

All hope was lost. 

“Let’s just wait for one more person to apply. SF or not.” I say, on the edge of defeat.

No one applies.

I send out one more message, thinking to myself “if no one applies before this reaches the top, we quit.”

and then

a new player enters the party

breaths held, I check their profile to see their class...

HALLELUJAH ITS A SOUL FIGHTER.

never have I clicked enter dungeon so fast in my life. We all thought they would leave for whatever reason before we ever got into the dungeon. We just couldn’t believe it. Thankfully, they stayed and we later learned that they saw our message, got in a NF party, finished the dungeon, came back out and saw we were still looking. So at the VERY LEAST we were in there one NF run long. 

So big shoutout to Lammie Lamb (i think was her name) you are a saint. We were literally seconds away from giving up.

Moral of the story: never give up.
