@ your anon with N24 - I have it diagnosed, and legit the way to become diurnal again is yes to have strict sleep hygiene, which does feel terrible (it's VERY bad for mental health) and it does take a long time to alter. I'm on chronotherapy for it, which just means I have to get up at dawn light regardless of if/when I sleep, and go and exist outside for an hour in morning sunlight (usually with a walk, but covid makes this hard). rinse and repeat. there's no permanent 'fix' for it either.
This sort of thing didn’t work for me, but I hope anon finds it useful to know about it
It’s worth noting that non24 is not a super well understood condition (like most shit buried deep in your brain) and there may be multiple mechanisms hiding within the same constellation of symptoms, so even though the researchers felt pretty confident that I couldn’t fix my sleep cycle with light exposure and such, that doesn’t necessarily mean you’re in the exact same boat as me, anon, your non24 may more resemble Endivinity’s
