Almost a year ago (longer?), I drove up to San Jose from Los Angeles and spent 24 hours with the mad genius himself, M dot Strange. I went to record the voice over for his bad guy character (Lord Wor) in his epic 3D animated film, Heart String Marionette. It was one of the best acting experiences I've ever had. You can buy the HD version of the film + the soundtrack here for $5. A free version is going up on YouTube in a couple days. Back to my visit with M dot: M dot and his composer pal, Endika, gave me a tour of the studio and shared some of the incredible music they've both been working on. I got there early evening and after eating and talking till midnight, we got down to work and burned through the scenes in about 4 hours. M dot was terrific as a director: clear about what he wants, helpful and willing to collaborate on the scenes. Just loved being a part of a visionary indie directors creative world.
