This is actually just about complete, and hardly a WIP any more. I want to make the water stand out a bit better, and I’ll be customizing her tail pattern, but here’s all the progress I’ve made so far with the crazy edits, programming, and modding. Yes, I rebuilt Adrien’s room for this. Or, at least the AU Aquarium version. We got a quick glimpse of it in Chapter 1, but we’ll have more of a tour in Chapter 2 as Marinette, uh, settles in?

"So I might actually have a little free time this weekend," Adrien began, taking the stairs down into the school courtyard with Nino. "and I was thinking -"

"Adrikiiiiiiiins!" He'd barely set foot on the ground level when Chloe came in for an overly affectionate tackle. He managed to mostly sidestep it, feeling himself go off-balance as he spun around and... Lifted off?

"Bro, what the?!" Nino was getting smaller below him - no, further away? What was with all these feathers? Oh no. One massive sneeze had him shooting blindly backwards over and beyond the school, tangled up in his own wings.

It was a few days later, the prior Wing Incident almost forgotten and passed off as a sudafed-induced hallucination, when it happened again.

One second, Lila was trying to drape herself all over him. The next, he was stuck up against the ceiling, his classmates staring up at him in disbelief. Adrien braced himself for more sneezing, but none came.

"I knew it!"

Or so the young man suspects, when he's abruptly moved out of his spacious suite without explanation, and watches contractors convert it into an indoor aquarium. He'd asked Gabriel if he could have a pet for years, but this seemed ridiculous - and completely out of character for it to be some sort of surprise apology gift for missing a decade or so of his son's birthdays. But the two creatures the fashion mogul has imported for his next photoshoot aren't your typical exotic fish, and Adrien finds himself transfixed by furious sea-blue eyes.

So... What's y'all's wishlist for a fic where Adrien has two mermaids (Marinette and Alya) living in his old bedroom? ...Given, of course, the complicating parameter that Gabriel Agreste has them prisoners in there, so it's not quite a fluffy wacky roomie fic. But I'm certainly making room for fluff and cuddles where I can 😸

For those who are caught up in the fic, I'd like to reassure y'all that things won't get more Yikes than what Gabe pulled in chapter 2. I have reins on him to keep everyone else as safe as possible and won't be focusing on things like that.
