Mor and the inner circle treated nesta like shit while she was going through her truama (Amren told her she was a waste of life, Mor repeatdly told her she didn't deserves kindess or love and well as many other terrible things), Emrie and Gwyn are Nesta's only friends, emotional support people, away from the inner circle.

So if Emrie gets involved with Mor, Nesta's life will be intertwined with those hateful people even more, she lost her sisters to them, she shouldn't lose her friends to them..

'But Gwyn might be Azriel's mate, so they will then be intertwined with the inner circle anway', Azriel never said anything mean to Nesta, or even behind her. He seemed to be the only way that truly understood what she was going through and he didn't make things harder for her, so even if he was Gwyn's mate and it wouldn't affect Nesta in a negative way.

I saw a post forever ago about Nesta in the mountains with the Illyrians celebrating something. She is with her friends and see Cassian across the way talking to Emerie. She gets super jealous.
