Exactly what it says on the tin. Loop kills the King in a violently bloody and messy way. For the catharsis.
Gods, I love writing gore so much. I need to do this way more often.
The House is a blur. Nothing in here is a threat to you, and you’ve seen Stardust navigate this layout enough times to know the route. Your mind wanders as you stalk the shadowed halls and tear Sadnesses into messy chunks of emotional pulp. Your spear whips and whistles around wildly, unencumbered by the lantern you chose to leave behind this time. The corridors are wide enough that you don’t have to worry about hitting the walls, and Sadness after Sadness falls before you, their attempts to flee proving futile as you move through the house like a blender.
Calamité shatters. Accablement and Abattement try, and die. Bourdon is taken apart, hand by bloody hand.
His hair blocks the final door. You press your head to it. Burn, burn, burn. It’s what you want. A low whoomp echoes as the strands go up in bright flames and vanish.
In the room just before him, you freeze, fear paralysing you. You can beat him. You know you can. He’s not the same King you lost to time and time again. He. Can. Be. Killed. You take a deep, slow breath, hand over your star, and focus. Move.
