as much as i hate d*sney, i find it sad that i cant be more excited for raya because as a sea, its really not very often you get any sea-sian rep in mainstream media. raya looks cool and it’s a movie made remotely??? which is like awesome!!! but then i can’t forget about how it’s supposedly sea representation because i haven’t heard one southeast asian who actually sees themselves in raya because of the mish mash salad that disney made to check all of southeast asia on the list to be done with. in their attempt to relate to all of southeast asia now no sea-sian actually can. then they casted more east asians than southeast asians and it’s like, my god!! this was never about southeast asians!
