“What’s coming is better than what is gone”
every post i make this year will be followed with a quote. hoping to inspire and encourage positivity and growth this year. if you haven’t set any goals for 2020... it is not too late! here’s to the next decade, year or even day to do better!
The problem I have with the word empowering is that it’s not the same as power. And for us to change the world and make it a safer, cleaner, healthier place we need real power. Sometimes I feel empowered because I put nail polish on that day, and that’s really nice. But that’s not real power. So I really strive, when I put the [feminist slogan] t-shirt on or put the sticker on my laptop, I try to remember that that’s great, but it’s frosting. I love frosting, I'm not bashing frosting, but we need the cake too.
