UNAPOLOGETICALLY ME!
I had a friend tell me in my vulnerable emotional state that I need to be unapologetically me.... So I asked myself what does that mean?
So I searched for a definition... HMM maybe this would help me:
Neither of you is willing to acknowledge any regret for your feelings. While the adjective unapologetic can describe someone who simply refuses to apologize, it also conveys a sense of strength: an unapologetic feminist, for example, is proud to stand by her beliefs.
And it did it made me search for the emotions that I don't want to apologize for:
wanting to be heard, wanting someone that is going to pray for me like I pray for them, wanting my voice to matter too. But as I go on this journey of self love I want to know that it is ok to have my feelings and accept that what I feel is real and worthy to be acknowledged.
Unapologetically I am going to own my feelings and not let them be suppressed anymore but rather handled appropriate; through prayer, belief in a better me and finding what makes me happy and what gives me peace.
So question bloggers... What does it mean to be unapologetically you?
