I’m kind of riding the rail between euphoric excitement and terror; so many pieces need to link up for this to work out. Most of the big stuff I’ve taken care of, but some things I have to just wait for once the ball is rolling. There’s a lot of uncertainty, not just leading up to the closing, but with everything that follows in terms of truly living on my own for the first time.

But there are so many great things coming from this, too... I’ve had to push myself to just adult, even when anxiety is tearing me apart from the inside. Make phone calls, answer phone calls, drive to buyer’s agent meetings and bank appointments, make huge money decisions... Granted, my parents have helped guide me a bit and they answer questions, but I’ve done the leg work alone and the decisions were always mine. 

And at the end of it all, God willing, I’ll have a home that, yes, will have to be maintained, but most importantly will be mine to do with what I want.
