Hahaha omg so I’ve done a few posts about this already but the short version is back in high school I was trying a new brand of contacts and they had an Oopsie in the factory so mine and a bunch of other people’s boxes got “miscoded” idk what that means but within 12 hours after putting the new contacts they'd like fused to my eyeballs and were messing with my vision hardcore and hurt and then a few hours after i got them out of my eyes (didn’t wash out my eyeballs tho oops) I stopped being able to see!
Basically, my pupils were dilated wayyyyy past safe measures and my eyes were SO light-sensitive that the “blindness” was literally just my eyelid refusing to open even in completely dark rooms. I was put on steroids and other eyedrops tho and my eyes returned to normal so yay!
Btw I have no residual scarring or anything. The only remaining issues is that one of my eyes legit would not stop watering for a few years after that it was so dumb in a funny way but now I’m p sure that’s gone. So yeah we totally good now!
In case anyone was interested, I just googled it and I found “corneal edema” which seems to match up pretty close with what I had!
